EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- There are 40 quarterbacks in the NFL who have thrown at least one pass this season. Of those, 35 have thrown at least one interception.
Eli Manning is not in the latter group.
That's right. The only NFL quarterbacks who have yet to throw an interception this year are
Aaron Rodgers,
Tom Brady, Eli Manning,
Michael Vick and
Kellen Clemens -- and those last two have only thrown six passes each. Manning has thrown 108 without one being picked off -- the third-longest such streak of his career.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Wednesday. "Yeah, I see a guy working hard to take care of the ball. Priority."
This was a big thing last year when the Giants brought in offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo to oversee the installation of a new offense. They wanted Manning to protect the ball better than he had in 2013, when he'd thrown eight interceptions by this point on his way to a league-leading 27 for the season. And to a large extent, it worked. Manning threw two interceptions in each of the first two games he played for McAdoo and an inexplicable five in a Nov. 16 loss to the 49ers. But he finished the season with only 14, which means that he was avoiding them pretty well week-to-week. In fact, the
second-longest interception-free streak of Manning's career ran from Weeks 4-10 of last season, when he went 176 in a row without a pick before
Earl Thomas got him in Seattle.
So really, if Manning's going to protect the ball better this year, that's just part of the evolution the Giants imagined last year.
"Being smart with the football, not taking chances, sticking with the plan," Manning said. "And I think that's just being more comfortable in the offense as time goes on. It's a product of guys doing the right thing, the offensive line protecting, being in good down-and-distance -- It's a combination of a lot of things, getting the ball out quickly and guys getting open."
The Giants are only 1-2 this year, and an ill-timed Manning fumble against Atlanta is part of the reason why. But it's clear that their chances of losing are reduced when he's not throwing interceptions all over the place. Since he became their quarterback, the Giants are 50-60 when Manning throws an interception and 42-18 when he doesn't.
Manning has thrown 108 passes without an interception, the second-longest streak to begin a season in Giants history. Fran Tarkenton was not intercepted in his first 163 passes in 1969 (when he finished the 14-game season with eight picks).
