The Colts should be less than even money to win the Superbowl

I haven't checked the odds lately, so I have no idea what they are. Anything can happen in sports, but isn't it likely, even probable, that these guys win the whole thing? -125 to -140 is what my heart tells me would be an accurate line, even though you all will probably think I'm crazy for saying that. I just don't see anyone beating them on their home turf, and whoever the NFC plugs into the Superbowl will surely be outmatched. I guess I need to get my futures bet in. Even money or better seems like a steal.

That's pretty much what you're seeing out there. I've seen this past week from -130ish to +130ish at several different books.

Illini, don't unbuckle on this one. 2 home games and a SB. I admit they should be +money, but who out there are you counting on beating them?

I'm saying that nobody will beat them. I think it's very probable that they will win the whole thing, and that is why I think even money would be a great bet.

This team seems very reminiscent of the 1990 Bills team that used the K-Gun and just whupped everyone they saw in the season and playoffs, they got beat by the Giants in the super bowl, wide right or not, Buffalo lost.

I love this Colts team, don't get me wrong, but eerirly similar

Brock, remember them well. Peyton is better at QB, James is better at RB and Harrison is better at WR. Plus this defense is better than the any the Bills displayed in there heyday.

Yeah, better than them. Bisciut was over rated, bruce is a hall of famer but they could never get a stop when the game was on the line.

You're entitled to your opinion Randy but I would rate their defense right now to equal what the Bills had during their 4 year run to the Super Bowl. The whole team were notorious chokers however.

Another fine point should be noted for the SB if the Colts get there. It's being played in a DOME which is like their home field! That should get them some advantage wouldn't you think?

The only possible threat in my opinion is Denver in the AFC, but it is highly unlikely that the Broncos can beat the Colts indoors in the playoffs. No NFC team even comes close to the ability of the Colts.

What will the Colts motivation be in game #15 at Seattle on Christmas eve, when they have home field clinched?

Do they play everyone and risk injury, just to try and go undefeated, or do they rest up?

If Peyton got hurt in a meanigless game, Dungy would never be forgiven.

I think Dungy said he would rest players at end of the year...I would go for the record though if i was coaching.

Michaels and Madden were discussing that this evening and Seattle could very well have homefield clinched as well. That being said, I agree with what they said, both Manning and Dungy have a sense of the history of the NFL and would go for the record. There could always be second guessing, but injuries could occur in any game. The pressure to go undefeated will force their hand to play, IMO.

I totally agree !

I believe they would have to try as hard as possible...with a possible dream season on the line....

I doubt Seattle would have everything wrapped up.

even money? come on

this is the NFL, lets not forget that...

no matter the talent on one team, any team can win on any given day (miami beating NE last year? happens all the time)

I agree with you. However, when I ask myself if they will win it all, I think yep, more than likely. If I believe that it's probable that they win it all, it makes sense to bet it if I can get + money. Anything can and does happen in sports, but I think they are going to do it, and everyone that watches football will be shocked if they don't. Seems like an easier bet than trying to decide who's gonna cover a college basketball game. Just my thoughts.
