Have not seen ISU play all year and NO IOWA only a couple times.

HAWKEYE171 is the guy that will have a better feel on this game than ANYBODY here at TheRX..........or the nation for that matter.

Will call on his CBB expertise.

If Iowa St can keep Northern Iowa from shooting well behind that arc well then this game won't be close. Northern Iowa stays in games because of the 3 ball, but Iowa St's defense is fast and I don't think that they will get many uncontested shots. As far as Iowa st, they have been hot and cold all season. They have had 55-17 halftime leads, and then lose by 17 to IONA!

Stinson is averaging alomst 20 PPG and Clark has been doing really good this year with almost 15 PPG.

I think that ISU will come back strong after the lost to IONA(No not IOWA, IONA!) and beat this 1 dimensional UNI team by 6+ points.

ISU plays very well at home, and I think the crowd in Ames will be sizeable tonight.

Okay, Doug. I justed talked to Fish. First of all, I don't totally disagree with Kruser6. Northern Iowa relies on the three, but they do have a couple of pretty good low post players. Iowa State has not come out of the gate playing well. Along with getting blown out, at home, by Iona, they struggled against Portland State and against at least one other lesser team. Stinson and Blaylock have alot of high expectations and may cause U.N.I. more trouble defensively by creating steals, than offensively. Stinson can score, but both he and Blaylock are poor premeter shooters. Remember, the last year, U.N.I. crushed Iowa State, so the Cyclones do have that incentive. I think U.N.I. is tougher than Iowa State mentally, and that is an advantage for the Panthers. Overall, it's a tough game at Iowa State -3 or -3 1/2. Iowa State does have the so-called Hilton Magic, but like I said earlier, U.N.I. is tough mentally and they've already won on the road earlier this season. I think at Western Michigan, but not totally sure. Although I don't know if I answered any questions, I think in a game like this, getting points is key.

Hope I was of some assistance. I'll watch the game with great interest, but layoff wagering. As a Northern Iowa grad, I will be cheering on the Panthers.

Northern Iowa is probably the better team, and they have everybody back from last year. Could not bet against them in this spot. However, I couldn't bet on them either, because of Iowa St's huge homecourt advantage. I'll just watch the game, and I expect it to be a good one.

I'm not Fishhead, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I'm discouraged, but it's nothing I won't get through. I got beat this weekend, and constantly lost with good hands. Two pair losing to bottom pair that made trips on the river. AJ running into AK, trips losing to a flush. That stuff happens. I had to take a couple of days off to regroup and get away from it.

Agree that this is a tough game to call. Iowa State has a huge home court advantage even though they lost there last week. Stinson is a stud and should have a big game tonight for the Clones. I do believe that Iowa St plays a lot of zone defense so that could be a good sign for Northern Iowa backers if Jacobson can get hot from the perimeter. Should be a good game to watch...don't know who I would bet on....one of those games to lay off of. Iowa state has won 21 of 22 non conference games at home.
