I have XM in my car, but I'm sure you can get a portable one. I think I saw on a TV ad that they have one right now for $40. I really am happy with my XM.

XM is VERY portable, only listening to what you have saved is much more practical, tried the little antenna it comes with and thats a joke.

Looking for it to pick up different stations. My wife is addicted to Howard Sterns morning show. So, Brock, you're saying picking it up will be a joke?

1)Stern isn't on XM, so thats not an option.

2)Listening to it live while not docked in your car or at a place at home isn't a good option, though you can save hours and hours of programming and listen to that which is a fabulous option.

bb, I have an XM Myfi, bought XM for MLB season(as Sirius NFL,NBA, NHL doesn't appeal to me due to being home on weekends and night), it is excellent, and though I paid $250(usually sell for $300)..they are at $150 Christmas prices everywhere right now..time to buy!

XM has great sports radio, music, and has an 24 hour MLB station called MLB-Homeplate..with Kennedy, Dibble, Steiner,etc..

You'll love it, the MYFI comes with all kinds of gadgetry, it can be used on body, in car, at home, and a subscription gets you internet use also.

just got one for $137 with shipping, and a $50 rebate, so in all, under $100 not a bad deal at all.

the canadian version of the FCC is more powerful up their and they do censor satilite radio. For example I'm pretty sure that Sterns show won't be aired in canada when he crosses over to sirius.

I'm not sure how they go about censoring it. I would assume it would be by where you bought it but I'm not sure.
