Oscar Goodman is all full of himself because he landed the NBA All Star Game.
That is an event. It is guaranteed sell out without the fans due to tickets given to corporate America.

An MLB team like the Marlins draws maybe 10,000 to 15,000 fans a game.
The mayor doesn't understand the high cost of MLB tickets will keep a lid
on sales. A working class family can afford the cheap tickets offered by the minor league 51's that are already there. It's a small park so drawing 4
5 thousand fans isn't a big deal.

The stadium would be located in seedy downtown in land near the railroad tracks. You have to drive to get there. Most families that come to Las Vegas from out of town don't drive cars.

To build a domed baseball MLB caliber stadium will cost 450 million. Who's paying for the stadium.

Everybody points to the Running Rebels when Tark coached the team and drew huge crowds to the T&M. You have a top 5 college program loaded with NBA talent. You are the subject in nationwide publications, on network TV and ESPN. It would be the equivalent of the New York Yankees
moving to Las Vegas. The Yankees aren't coming. It is a Marlin team that is having a fire sale right now getting rid of it's star players.

MLB in Las Vegas?? An idea that is doomed to fail.

A pro sports team wouldn't last in LV, except maybe an NFL team that was a powerhouse year after year. There are too many other forms of entertainment and too many residents who work nights, when the team is playing. Who in their right mind would pay an arm and a leg to park and buy tickets to see one game when you can sit in a race book for free and watch ten or twenty?

Veagas is just like FL. Full of transplants and horrible supporters of teams. Vegas is a Dodger town anyway. Bad idea.
