I believe that is what I heard last night on the news. Is this something to be worried about on Sunday. Or is it that the Bears are just that much better this week. I believe records can be thrown out when you have this type of Rivalry....What is your take on this.............?

That is unbelievable, haven't won once at home since 93.

With the Bears D and Favre making so many mistakes, this game spells doom, and finally a Bears payback win.

That is amazing...i was at the game in Champaign, Favre torched the Bears that night. Never forget the halloween game of 94 either, raining sideways.

Also remember, the Colts hadn't beaten the Steelers since 1984, prior to Monday Night's game. As I stated in another thread, IMO the Bears win this one going away.

The Bears have won a few times at Green Bay in that span. Most memorable game is the one they dedicated to Walter Payton when he died (Bryan Robinson blocked a fg at the end). Also my favorite Chicago-GB game is the Halas memoral game in (1981?). Bears won 61-7.

Sadly the last losing GB qb at Chicago was Mike Tomczak. Favre will get that losing experience this week.

Well this is just fantastic news for me. I've got the Bears in my suicide pool. It was a good run I guess.

how many of those players from all those previous games are still on either team??? not many...

what happened even a couple years ago, let alone 10 years ago, really doesn't mean anything.

i see CHI coming out fired-up for this game....this isn't GB's division anymore. this is CHI's division. and CHI knows it.

i see a double-digit victory for CHI...

personally, i'm staying off this game. i don't see any value in the line...

BUT....for those of you guys who like to do those 7 pt. teasers, this would probably be a good game to tease with CHI down to a pick-em (maybe along with MIN +4.5 on the other game)...just a suggestion (for recreational gambling only, of course!!!)

Strange, I don't recall this game at all...61 points , I would think I would.

Actually it happened at the end of the 1980 season. I thought it was for Halas, but I remember that Halas hired Ditka. Neil Armstrong was the coach I believe.

Christian - I think a teaser with GB would be nice too. Remember, GB has a kicker that can kick in the elements.

at first glance, i can see why GB might look tempting for the tease...

especially since they've lost most of their games by less than 7 points (i don't remember the stat exactly, but i'm pretty sure that's accurate)

and considering this game will probably be low scoring with Chicago controlling the clock by the use of their running game, some people might like the +14 with GB...

but the way i see it, is that you have two choices...which is more likely:

a) that CHI will win this game outright

or

b) that GB will lose by less than 14 points

i think "A" is more likely to happen. i just can't see ANY way that CHI will lose this game. but i can see a few ways that GB can lose this game more MORE than 14 points (i.e. a couple of turnovers turned into quick points scored, CHI pitching a near-shutout, etc.)

These are the kind of totally meaningless stats that have no bearing on anything. This Green Bay team has never beaten this Bears team in Chicago. This GB team is terrible and why anyone pays any attention to this BS is a total mystery to me ! :toast: :drink:

100% correct. On the actual game, Chicago have the advantage of high winds forecast with Favre still passing, on the downside, Green Bay have scored more points than they should have in all but 2 games. So the bet, like all Green Bay bets this year is on whether you think Favre will be hot or not.:drink:

Packers very much a live 'dog here. Bears are laying 7 while averaging only 16.5 points.

Packers have outscored and out-yarded their opponents. They rank in the top 10 in defense, while Orton ranks last in passing.
