Just noticed WSEX has this option now. Also CRIS,Skybook,5Dimes,Diamond I think and of course Pinnacle. They just increased my limits the other day also. Are they looking to become a big player in the money transfer world? They still need a debit card I would think.

I don't think they need a debit card. Firepay has been around for 4 years and has never offered a debit card.

I have no problem sending it back to my bank.

I like where they allow an account balance now where you can transfer to a number of other books. Have always found them easy to use but very small time compared to Neteller of course. I just love to see the competition. Can only help us consumers.

I just signed up and got a daily limit of $50, a weekly limit of $75 and a monthly limit of $500?! Not sure how I could hit the monthly limit of $500 if I can't send more than $75 a week? How long until they bump my limit and then to how much? I don't see this as a viable option unless I can move a dime at a time and quite a few dimes a month.

They eventually raised mine to this:

<TABLE class=tablebg width=500><TBODY><TR class=trheader><TD align=middle width="20%">Industry</TD><TD align=middle width="20%">Per Transaction</TD><TD align=middle width="20%">Daily</TD><TD align=middle width="20%">7-Day Period</TD><TD align=middle width="20%">30-Day Period</TD></TR><TR><TD class=trheader width="20%">Entertainment </TD><TD class=tdright align=middle width="20%" bgColor=#f3f3f3>$100.00 </TD><TD class=tdright align=middle width="20%" bgColor=#f3f3f3>$100.00 </TD><TD class=tdright align=middle width="20%" bgColor=#f3f3f3>$200.00 </TD><TD class=tdright align=middle width="20%" bgColor=#f3f3f3>$1,000.00 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I started off at low limits like that as well and after several months they raised it. Pretty weak limits but even if you ask for higher limits they won't change it. They said they review your account every so often then make a decision on their end on whether they will increase your limits or not. They won't be a major player until they change this policy.

Are they set up to only use one's checking acct or will they take credit cards?

I don't see how they can even begin to compete with Neteller...

But then again---I thought OJ did it. So I ain't sure :lolBIG:

$100 per transaction is still a joke.

I'd be a little concerned about their long term viability if this is all they have going for themselves.

I agree their limits are a joke. I only use them occasionally to place a small bet if I see a good line somewhere. The thing that most impressed me was that many of the big books are suddenly adding them as an option. If they don't up their limits soon I think they are missing a great opportunity to become a major player in the money transfer business.
