My beloved Lions are in the market for a new coach and I have been reading about all the hot names. I'm sure there will be some "hot" assistants in the next few weeks. But my favorite name that is popping up ( I know most of you guys can't stand him) is: MIKE MARTZ

Proven NFL coach who puts an exciting product on the field:modemman: Martz= "the mad scientest"

Man, you'd best hope you don't get Martz. Do you really want a coach that can't control his team and makes wacky game decisions?

That being said, KUBIAK to the Texans. :103631605

all I know is that offense has been close to unstoppable for years. I'm sure he would wear out his welcome after 2 years, but he doesn't think like the conventional NFL coach

Ice my fellow metr detroiter please not Martz. I want Cam Cameron from SanDiego and he can bring either Brees or the young 1st rd pick from a few years ago.

The Cam Cameron, former U of M assistant who went on to coach at Indiana and fail miserably. C'mon Millen is already in hot water. Though I do like your SD QB thinking

Neuheisel is a genius for March Madness. You can probably make enough in the spring that will cover your Lions in the fall.

Childress might be a hot name again, even though the Iggles offense has royally sucked. You're always gonna hear the names of Ferentz and Carroll from college. Gregg Williams (yuck) is also probably going to get another chance and Al Saunders is being groomed to b Vermeil's replacement in KC

Hines, what's up with Russ Grimm (o-line coach of Pittsburgh)? Keep hearing his name. I sort of hope not sounds like a boring smash mouth guy, not saying it doesn't work just can't imagine going thru boring football again.

Don't be surprised if you hear Ron Rivera's name mentioned.

who is that?

Bears defensive coordinator. Had a big part in the Eagles defense when he was left there 2 years ago.

Another one to watch is Dennis Green as he is trying to get out of his Arizona contract.
