USC -7.5 was the opener long ago. Just comeing back to that probably. Texas did catch money when it first opened and makers couldnt move fast enough to 7 then 6.5. I think this game goes off at 7. JMHO

Like to see TX do it, but I think USC rolls.

Texas +7.5 is a gift. Look at what Fresno has done the past 2 weeks. Makes USC victory over them very suspect. TX is a bad matchup for USC. I am hoping USC rolls it up vs UCLA and the line stays inflated on USC when they play TX

Be careful in this game. Let's see how both teams come out of tomorrow's games healthwise, then see the posted line. If USC is less then a TD favorite, I will be strong on this play.

Giving USC a month to prepare for Texas' simplistic offense???? Sorry, I love USC to kill Texas. Only a few teams in the country could hang with USC and Texas isn't one of them

I have to agree. I remember all the hype in last years game and we all know how that turned out.

Speaking of Texas, Olympic has a prop bet that looks a little tasty to me. However, I've never delved into prop bets before. What do you think of this?

Vince Young (-220) -72.5

vs

Colorado QBs (+180) +72.5

for most passing/running yards in the game.

Is -220 too much juice to lay on Vince Young to hit that? Thanks for y'all's thoughts.

Just one man's opinion, but the juice is way too much for my taste. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Well said. If both teams escape last game with no injuries to skilled players line will remain the same. Money is the only thing that will move this line as the linemaker has installed USC -7.5. Early money from Texas drove the number downward and the ones that wanted USC just set and waited for less than a full TD.
IMHO i think this line goes off game time at 7. I dont think that either team well roll here. Dont think that it will go lower than the full TD again, unless something happens to one of the USC skilled players tommorrow.
But its a long way to the Rose Bowl an if injury to either team is not that bad there is time to heal.

Agree. Last year Oklahoma came in with all the hype on RB Adrian Peterson and former Heisman QB Jason White and their so-called hard nosed defense. The Trojans game planned to shut down Peterson, which they did, and forced White to try and beat them which he couldn't. Plus, their defense got carved up by Leinhart's passing. The Big 12 is very weak this year. Texas stood out above a soft conference. In the Pac 10, teams faced balanced attacks every week with some quality quarterbacks as well as running backs. The game plan will be to contain Young from getting out and running and force him to beat the Trojans through the air. Won't happen. USC has seen much better aerial attacks in the Pac 10. Meanwhile, the Trojan balanced offensive attack will carve up the Longhorn defense the same way Texas A&M did last week, both on the ground and through the air. Only the Trojans are much, much more proficient. These games remind me of the times Oklahoma and Nebraska would trade off winning the Big 12 only to get blown out in the Orange Bowl by balanced attacks from the Florida schools. Same drill, different bowl.

I am glad everybody is on USC and continues to drive the line up. Again, I still think USC is suspect. They barely escaped over a vastly overated Fresno team, got a miracle win against a good, but not great ND team, and struggled against Arizona State. Texas has athletes that are in the same caliber of USC, and to say that all USC has to do is stop Vince Young is very simplistic. If everybody is all over USC, may have to go to the betting exchanges (mansion, matchbook, etc )to get a real good price and value on Texas.

Not everyone is on USC, myself along with a few others took Texas +7.5 the instant that we could. We all thought that the number would go lower than it did, but we were wrong as it went right back to the opener of 7.5. Maybe were not wrong with the Texas side of the game.
