Late in the first half, Northern Iowa leads #1 New Hampshire 21-0. Hate to put a possible jinx on the Panthers, but so far so good.

good for them. Illinois State whipped them 38-3 and did not make playoffs. Also whipped Southern Illinois 61-35 who plays later today. Went 3-0 vs teams in playoffs. 7-4 overall though losing 2 games by a fg and hung with Iowa State for most of the game before losing.

Too bad for the Redbirds. U.N.I. and Southern Illinois trying to make the Gateway conference proud.

gateway is far and above the strongest conference in I-AA.

No prob. Btw, the big names at the lower levels are always given more value than what they should be in these lilnes. For example Mount Union, St. Johns, Montana, Mary-Harden. Last week Mary Harden was a 10 pt favorite over Wesley and got trounced. betting the dogs is not a bad idea, although we are getting to the point where there are only a few teams left, so....

Northern Iowa had to be a fairly large dog today. I saw N.H. last week, when they pounded Colgate in the snow. Northern Iowa has shown the ability to win close games.
