It's up and down. I could could make a living at it if I wanted to do whatever it takes, even if it meant playing 75 hours a week. But I feel like that would be fighting the system when I can just get a job dealing. Green Doberman told me that you get burned out playing out here, and sometimes have to take long breaks. I believe him, and am starting to feel that. It's just so boring most of the time. Chuck, do you also live in Vegas?

for being dumb enough to tease CFB games - you get what you deserved. i have gotten Carpal Tunnel telling people how dumb it is to tease CFB games but NO ONE listens - and never will. Hopefully someone down the line will - but not counting on it

Illini : Seems that you are under-bankrolled with previously mentioned 4k, you play 4-8, but if go higher face variance and tougher players at 5-10, 10-20. At 20-40 ,I'd think you face some rather decent players, maybe not Negreanu-good, but not dummies. The old 1.5 big-bets per hour expectation may be about correct ?

I root for you, but about $10-15 hr seems about max expectation, and you have potential of bad run, plus expenses may nearly equal earnings, so you may just be spinning your wheels.

I've listened. Your efforts have not gone on deaf ears.

I've learned that the reason college football is not good for teasers is because even the good teams have bad games and even the bad teams have respectable games which ruin 7- or even 10-point teasers.

I am also a convert. Let the other team score late in the game. Only tease completely through 7 and 3, and only in the nfl. never tease totals.

as for the grandfather part - sadly - true. but in this case the "teaser" was some 21-year-old who flashed him and he couldn't take it

COLLEGE teasers - YES
NFL teasers - NO

the reason i am so opposed to CFB teasers is simple

take a look at how FEW games teasing makes a difference in CFB. in most cases if you play a 2-team CFB teaser and it hits - it would hit WITHOUT the teaser - meaning you cost yourself 1.6 units of profit. how many of us here like giving the books 1.6 units of profit on our bets. this is why books will send a limo to your hosue to drive you to their book if all you are gonna do is play a CFB teaser - because you are costing yourself a TON of $$$ and thus saving them it

to those who say they read my rants and agree with me - and then go tease the game as is...words can't describe how stupid that is - but it is your money and you are free to WASTE it however you want - so go ahead and do the books a favor and tease CFB games

come bowl season i know a lot of morons will tease CFB games and be happy about it - even when those same plays woulda hit w/o teasing the games

Windy, I am rooting for Illni, please dont call him dumb. Every bet is live until it loses. I punch a clock. Would rather be a ski bum in Jack Hole or a half ass gambler in Vegas. If Illini ever needs any help or advice from me he has it.
