I started playing poker at BODOG a few months ago and started using their sportsbook. THis is m first online betting experience. Tonight I went to place a bet on Eagles +4.5, as soon as I placed it and clicked submit bet it said "line has expired." This seemed kind of fishy.

Also, you can only buy points only on a few select games. They limit the games you can parlay on. Their prop and player bets are limited. And they almost never move their lines, instead adding jucie up to -140 or -150 in some cases.

Is this the norm with online betting or can someone recommend a book with less restrictions and more options?

bodog is what most gamblers refer to as a "square" book...

they are specifically designed for less sophisticated (i.e. long-term losers) gamblers...

i've also heard they give out dual lines [one line for regular players (losers) and one line for those they believe to be "sharps"]

don't feel bad for not knowing until you had already wasted your time with them...

i had wagered on and off for quite a few years with Bowmans before i realized they gave out dual lines as well.

anyway, there are plenty of great books to sign-up with nowadays...

these ones i currently use (in what i consider to be their order of quality):

1) Pinnacle (hands-down, the best)
2) Canbet (-107 in NFL and NBA, excellent customer service)
3) BetCris (great loyalty program, if you wager large amounts you can earn nice Bonus Plays)
4) WSEX (free neteller insta-cash deposits, excellent offer!)
5) Cascade (i'm new to this book, but highly impressed so far, -105 juice)
6) Hollywood (-107 juice)
7)Olympic
8) Skybook (nice free 1/2 point in football and hoops)
9) 5Dimes

Interesting. I had the same thing happen to me today with BoDog. I was betting Philly ML +165. I clicked submit. The line had changed to +160.

I thought it was an honest change until I come on here and read this post.

I use Bo Dog strictly for some of their bargains. I call in. Never had them change a line on the phone.

"Yes, BoDog is good, but I only played there a week a couple of years ago"

Then how in the hell would you know if they're good or not? Just because the RX makes money off of them doesn't make them a good book. Being a sponsor means their check cleared the bank...

Try thinking before you type next time.

It was a joke ! I was saying they must be good because they have banner here, in a toungue in cheek fashion. I left because I didn't like them. There's several banners here that are questionable. Bodog did pay me, but I don't like the dual line crap. I don't even think they belong on the live lines page because the lines are a lie. Pinnacle lines belong there, in the first column. It was nice when they listed Pinny's opener and you could see the movement at Pinny.

I LOVE the Bodog lines except the ones you can't buy off of. But if you bet like I do and take advantage of those "sucker" lines they offer, you pay lower juice.

They have the best casino on the net hands down.

They are called "sucker" lines at BoDog because only suckers are able to bet them. Show them you can win, and its clone lines and then the boot.
