No big surprise at all.....just look at the favorites coming in.

Fezzik has a dog obsession-more than I think anyone should considering that 48-49% of favs come in.

99% of the plays are underdogs. Will never make money betting 99% underdogs.

That's what I'm saying (actually I've been borderline ranting it lately).

People have gone way overboard with the "Squares play favs & sharps play dogs" mentality.

The reality is 98% of the posters here at the RX are squares, but No one will admit it...

Curious, what's your definition on "Squares" in this respect? Thank you.

Your 100% correct. Don't understand how you can't look at value in some of the favorites. There is alot of value in SOME of the favorites this year. I still don't know what my final total is on how many favs and dogs I played. I don't want to know either

Fezzik is an unremarkable NFL handicapper.

Whatever NFL profits he had in previous years, he probably lost most of it this year in the NFL.

Just another guy hit .500 ATS.

He is actually 39.7% in the NFL. That is beyond terrible. It really is one of the worst documented records I have ever seen...let alone from a guy that claims to do this for a living.

Arrogance has a way of catching up with the best of us...I don't know why the so called good nandicapper's have to come off like they're God anyway....This seems to be the stereotype and characteristic of anyone who gets paid to give out selections, across the board!

Fezzik on the radio show, "You Can Bet On It" said before the season to lay the -170 on the Chargers Un 9 wins. If the bet loses he said, "You Can Shave My Head Bald."

I am planning to do just that Fezzik, You Can Bet On It!

I don't know if Fez is sensitive, but I'd be one pretty damn pissed off, frustrated SOB if I were in his shoes.

Losing is bad, losing on a posted play is worse, losing like this is hell for anyone.

How smart we all become when the favorites keep coming in one after another. It's like when the market was hot until 2000. Couldn't do anything wrong. Everyone was so smart and bragging about how their 401K's were doing....like they were responsible for the profits. But how many "sharps" bailed out when the market started going the other way? It'll come back was the war cry. But as we all know, even though the Dow Jones came back, so many were buried so deep with net stocks that disappeared into the sunset.

I am usually a contrarian like Fezz, and how my posted record stands at 57-43 YTD is beyond me. Guess I'm getting a nice mix of faves and dogs to keep me above board.

Last year we started the year the same way with the faves coming in and the home doggies weren't, but that changed in the second half of the year. However this year, the faves have continued to roar, and the home doggies keep getting beat.

You can take this for what it's worth, but in the last few years, the refs don't seem to be helping the dogs like they used to. You just don't see people bitching on sites about how the refs screwed one team or the other. Those that have been around for a while know what I mean. You just don't see the holding calls to stop a team from scoring, nor the pass interference calls that allowed a weak team to score and cover! Neither is reviewable via instant replay!

Could it also be coincidental that we have a new oddsmaker in town? Kenny White took over LVSC. It just reminds me of when Bob Martin THE bookmaker in the 60's-80's at the Union Plaza, got indicted by the Feds and was forced to give up his oddsmaking activities. Roxy took over at LVSC, and the books took it in the shorts for about two years from what I recall.

why not?

what % of underdogs exactly should you be betting?

you can bet only teams with blue jerseys and still win.

now if you bet teams with blue jerseys across the board, you will probably end up 50%. Same as if you bet all dogs across the board and all favs across the board - 50% long term
