Most famous ballplayer I played on the same club with: Don Zimmer. [now that's a long story]
Countless other ex-major leaguers...some HOF'ers...that I played and hit against with ocassional good success include Jim Palmer, "The Catfish", Tug McGraw, Jerry Koosman, "Blue Moon" Odom, Eli Grba among many others. Played against Lou Piniella, Tony LaRussa, George Scott, Ron Swoboda, Cleon Jones, Amos Otis, Cito Gaston, Rod Carew, Mark Belanger, Mike Epstein, Hector Lopez, Dave Nicholson, [who in winter ball hit the longest home run I've ever seen hit in person] etc. etc and etc.
All of this was in the minor leagues, spring training or winter ball unfortunately. Good morning bourbon, a burning Hot Stove, and a cool Florida spring training like morning just brings out the memories in an oldman. Sorry 'bout that.
