Nice to get feedbacks, reads, etc. on games, but at times it could be confusing. Should only follow 1 or 2 at a time. Much easier, I would think.

95% of it is crap. The best thing to do is find reliable losers (and I have found a few they are gold). But it is nice occasionally during Hoops, some people know certain conferences pretty well. Slims posts in the offshore are 10 times more valuable than any posters in pick forums though. But I always check out a few certain cappers.

The best strategy is to get the odds in your favor, which is not that hard to do.

Absolutely Dante. I don't mean offend anyone, but I came here to learn in the first place and have greatly grown from it. A lot of people just come here to try to whore attention. And though I don't think that 95% of it is crap, a lot of it is and needs to be ignored. However, there are just some general good guys on this board that have been doing this for years. I don't necessarily think they're all the sharpest bettors in the world, but they're all great guys, and more often than not, they can at least shed some light on why something is right or wrong... and to be honest, they can have some miserable years and still be great guys who KNOW how to gamble for the long term (then again, I guess that makes them sharp, eh?). Just to list a few...

SSI, OldmanTed, HansenBros., Action, TommyB, PPeter, and a bunch of others that I'm sure I left off of the list. Just class act guys all around. Absolutely a huge asset when used correctly.

Snowman--

Just in general, I'll bet if you took the other side everytime someone said "game of the year" on a certain game, you'd make a mint...

I don't think anyone on this forum sucks at capping, I think they suck at money management. How many times have you seen some guy hit 55% of his games and lose half of his bankroll?

Except for a certain few "respected cappers here at RX", this theory would probably be VERY profitable

fyi...most of the guys whose picks I actually take into consideration don't do the GOY or I'll never post again if this doesn't hit... B.S.

A lot of these guys who do it are in full "chase mode" and not only dying for a winner, but also screaming for attention

Exactly Ego... the respected ones (and we really all know who they are, so there's no need to name names) don't ever say game of the year and all of that. They typically either do a straight, reasonable "x"% of their accounts on each game, or rank them 1-5 or whatever... reasonable. That's the key. Shouldn't be unloading more than 5% of your account on any given game.

By the way, I've gotta give props to my fellow Braves fan Choptalk who's been missing the past few weeks. Dude capping Sun Belt football even for just a couple weeks gave me the idea to do the MAAC basketball thing. It's worked out great so far and I have him to thank for the idea. Definitely making me "sharper"
