I put in a bet and it's still waiting after 3 mins. This is a halftime bet so time is of the essence.

I realize they have a faster site to go to during busy times so I went there and logged in. Same slowness.

Why don't they just make their original site fast enough?

Now it says "line no longer exists".

So I click "Refresh" and click my bet. Then it says "line no longer exists."

So I click on NBA and click all bets and the bet is still available. So I choose the bet again and get the message "line no longer exists."

:WTF:

I called 5dimes Customer Service Department and spoke with a Customer Service Rep. He asked for my username which I gave him and then asked for my password. I said I don't give that out over the phone so he said "no problem" and hung up.

I called back and asked for a manager named Vivian. She said she couldn't help me unless I gave her my password. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm afraid that if I give my username and password that the Customer Service person could then use it to bet.

Has anyone else had dealings with these people?

I was able to click on the Live Help button to have a chat with a Customer Service rep. Here is the transcript with the names changed.
----
XXXX: Hello. How may I assist you?
YYYY: Hi XXXX, I'm had problems placing a call.
YYYY: I'm sorry, placing a bet.
XXXX: ok you may try www.probet.com
YYYY: I tried that site as well. It took over 5 minutes to take my bet.
XXXX: this is due to the amount of traffic, I apologize for the inconvenience
----
So perhaps if you need to get a bet in a hurry 5dimes is not the place to make the bet. I would suggest other, quicker sites.

Thanks for the feedback michael777. Have you tried www.propbet.com during those times? It's supposed to be quicker.

Later learned Bonus is a match play that is given after you match the RollOver Requirements! Lost Balance before I Met RollOVER!

*Both Sites, Really Slow..caused me to miss ALOT of HalfTime Lines!

*Will Not Re-Load Account!

Mr. Newlywed:

I really like this book. I've already received my bonus. I like the options they list for betting.

But I've never had a book be so slow. I just tried betting another halftime bet and it was slow again. This time, after 2 minutes, the bet went through.

5-dimes.........................

Yes, The BOOK has Many Options...really too many, sometimes confusing!
Love being able "TEASE" Team Totals, Quarters, Halves, 2nd Halves!

But site is SLOW---and missing out on Wagers sucks, and makes 5 DIMES not worth it for me!

Customer service told me it was my end..My Computer!
I Told Them B.S....I have a Brand New Computer & Very Fast DSL!

MY RATING.....D

ql, if you decide to stay with 5dimes, make sure you check to see how your bets are graded...i had a bet this summer in bases that was a winner and they graded it as a loser...i stayed with them and the same thing happened to a friend of mine.....closed my account with them months ago and WILL NOT ever use them again........sorry about your luck....there are so many books out there that are much better, imo, and i know ppl swear by them and have alot of positive things to say about them, but for me, personally, i think they are terrible....

btw, the mgr. Tony, emailed me personally and wanted to help me get to the bottom of the problem i had and i told him i wanted to remain annonymous, he seemed nice and really wanted to help. i decided to cancel my accnt there because even if someone is nice, that dosent help the fact that i have to check EVERY graded wager there, and that is a mojor pain in the ass.......PINNY, PINNY, PINNY....best book on the net and NEVER had one single problem with grading issues!!

sorry about your trouble!!

Thanks for the heads-up Maxxx. I'll keep an eye on my wagers. I do that with every bet at every book anyway.

I dont understand why you are afraid to give them your password. Every damm sportsbook on the planet requires you to give them your password when you place a bet over the phone. No exceptions. How do you feel when your bank teller ask you for your bank account number?

Account number is one thing. There is no bank that I've ever been with that asks for the pin number to my debit card. In fact, there are laws against that. The password to my account is the same thing as my pin number to my bank account.

The guy didn't have to hang up. He could have said that I could do a live chat after logging in or could have given me their email address. He's just an asshole.

I have to admit the site speed is not the fastest in the world....wonder why they dont get faster servers and increase bandwidth?? It is all it will take to speed things up....Sunday right before kickoff can be murder waiting for the bet to be placed.

Confused as to why to would not want to give your PW to make a wager over the phone??? Are you afraid that they will drain your account??

The only reason I am with them is because of the numerous betting options. Their website is absolutely pathetic. The changes they made was only to the look and feel. I'd rather have a 3rd grade looking site that operated much faster than a site like theirs. I like to wait right before the game starts to place my bet. But there is no way you can do that on their site. You will need to call.

Lastly, I think their customer service is terrible. The people who actually take your bets are fine. No problem with them. It is their accounts dept that is horrible. They sound like robots, reading off of a script without giving you any reason for why they do things.

Earlier in the morning, I withdrew money. Later that evening, I made an InstaCash deposit. I was aware that I would not qualify for their 10% reload bonus because I just made a wdl. No problem. But they would not credit me the fee associated with the InstaCash deposit. They said if I do not qualify for a bonus, then I do not qualify for a fee reimbursement. I asked where it says this on their site. Vivian said she did not know since this is still a new site to her. I then asked if I made the deposit via Western Union if they would have credited me the fees. She said yes.

That doesn't make sense to me. The western union fee is greater than the InstaCash deposit. All Vivian would say is " I will not argue with you on this." Damn right I am going to argue with you if you can't tell me where it is on your lame-ass site.
