Don't know what to say here....Northern Iowa is out of the best I-AA conference. Lost 3 games, one to Iowa, one big to Illinois St where they were without their QB. They beat #1 ranked team last week if that means anything. They are playing a team that is 9-0 at home though. NIU's running back is a transfer from Nebraska. He had 144 and 2 TDs last week...17 or 18 TDs on the season in only 9 games.

U.N.I. is 0-5 in semi-final games, but the Panthers defeated three number one teams so far this season, including last week's 24-21 win at New Hampshire. But N.H. also gained over 600 yards, but were done in by turnovers. U.N.I. is from a very tough conference and Texas State has defeated several division II teams. The Panthers have done well in close games and shown the ability to come from behind. I guess getting 6 1/2 looks pretty good.

Yea, they mentioned Phil Bradley, the baseball player. Cy1981, Fish and I also remember him as the quarterback for Missouri in 1978 when the Cyclones, led by Cy1981 made a visit to Columbia. I was a freshman at Missouri. That team also had Kellen Winslow and James Wilder. The '78 Tigers won at Notre Dame and at Nebraska and damm near beat Alabama in Columbia, but still went just 7-4 and played in the Liberty Bowl. It's funny, after Missouri won AT Nebraska, the student tore down the goal posts at Missouri's field. Now that's some enthusiasm.
