Yep, the place was managed poorly, lot of bonuses, unique numbers (they were gambling) and so on. They even let you buy on and off the 3 for 10 cents, I can't imagine how much that cost them in the long run.
If I'm not mistaken they also bought out Steve Turner's scam book 'LoneStar' which they took over the accounts for, this was 'SportsMarket' also part of Aces I believe.
I remember them going under in the 3rd season if memory serves me correctly.
They were giveing away deals that No one else could and that helped to send them under. Useing VERY opinionated numbers was the other part that did them in. They would invite action to the side that they thought was the right side of a game and HOLD it ALL too.
There were others like the Dunes that tried the same thing, some of the guys were playing higher themselves than writeing business by far.
Sometimes when they would get loser they would just try to bet themselves out of the trap.
They did connect several times with this but it finally caught up to them and they just went under, naturally oweing HUGE figures here an there.
Booking and Betting is like the double edged sword as its really really good, or it can be REALLY REALLY BAD.

Nothing caused Blue Marlins demise - they simply wanted to make more money so they stole everyone's funds and continued to do business as a credit shop under a diferent name.
Aces Gold may have been around - hovering somewhere - but I had never heard of them before the year they went under - they were nothing like Cris, Pinnacle or Olympic - in fact, the were almost identical to Pan Am - just pretty big out of no where.
