Whats your guy's opinion on this?

Say you get a $300 Bonus Play on a dime deposit into Heritage.

DO you find one game you are absolutely in love with and go for one swift shot to the nuts, or chip away with $50 plays?

I look for a big moneyline dog I like and think will win it. I'll lay all of my freeplay on the game. Or I'll do it the way you mentioned, put it all on a side/spread.

Here is what someone can do with, say, a $400 Bonus Play.

Take 3 teams and make 8 combinations for $50 like DougJ said in the other thread.

ADD a 4th team on all the parlays to make 4-team parlays. Then go against the 4th team in a straight play so that you win the same amount either way.

The difference between this method and what DougJ is proposing (and I am just modifying) is that you also get to make a wager that would count towards your rollover (and since you're making 4-team parlays instead of 3-team parlays, the juice isn't going to hurt you as much).

I'd have to work that out, don't 4-teamers pay 10:1 instead of 15:1 true odds ? It doesn't sound workable, but I'll look at it later.

if youre gonna win the play, bet it all in one chunk.

What else would a bookie say?:lolBIG:

Why don't you just tell people to play it on a +20000 future too? Something like "Cleveland to win the Super Bowl" at +50,000, maybe?

That would be a great use of freeplay.... IF you were going to make a bet like that anyway.

I don't like it ! My way you have $300 for sure. Your way you get $500 or nothing, that pick needs to be a 60% likely winner to equal the expectation. Rollover would be no different, still bet $400 either way. I'd do the 3-teamer or the dog way !

That is how you get ~$300 each way and that is how you make a $300 wager to count towards your rollover.

OK I missed that part. You have a parlay with about a 50% chance of yielding $500, so let's say you bet against it 275/ 250. If parlay hits, collect 500, lose 275, you have 225.

If straight bet hits you have 250, I'd rather have 300 !

I wouldn't do this at a book where I was getting 10-1 for a 3-teamer.

You're right though - many books rape you on a 3-team parlay and this method would not be a my choice if that were the case. If I get 12:1 or 25:2 like I should, then I would do it this way because you also get $300 rolled over.

You mean a 4-teamer. :103631605 It would be better at 12:1 for sure, I very rarely go over 3 teams, actually 2 teams is my normal limit.

Cincy: Here's the problem with your method. Start with $1,000 balance plus a $400 freeplay. Bet 8 $50 4-teamers ( at 12:1) ,that will pay $600 if it wins, but you're also playing 330/ 300 straight against the parlay. You wind up with 1270 or 1300.

I could do the same thing. Turn the FP into 300 for 1300, then bet both sides of any game 165/ 150, for 1285.

Both sides is a bad play just to get rollover, which is essentially what you are doing.

You'd be better off just doing the 3-teamer first, then making straight bets ( assuming they hit over 50% ).

Wouldn't the only smart way to use a fp be either a moneyline dog or a parlay?

risk 100fp to get 600cash 3t parlay ...smart

or

risk 100fp to get 91cash str8 bet...retarded

Seems like a no brainer. Don't know why there needs to be this much discussion.
