That is what FOX and ESPN have stated all day.

Being a long standing Packer fan, my immediate thought was that LEROY BUTLER had to be very close to doing the same.

Upon looking this up at NFL.COM, this is what I came up with, please enlighten me what I am missing here.<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=1 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR class=bg2><TD>1990</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>42</TD><TD>0.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg3><TD>1991</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>6</TD><TD>0.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg2><TD>1992</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>15</TD><TD>15</TD><TD>1</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg3><TD>1993</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>6</TD><TD>131</TD><TD>1.0</TD><TD>1</TD></TR><TR class=bg2><TD>1994</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>13</TD><TD>13</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>68</TD><TD>1.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg3><TD>1995</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>5</TD><TD>105</TD><TD>1.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg2><TD>1996</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>5</TD><TD>149</TD><TD>6.5</TD><TD>1</TD></TR><TR class=bg3><TD>1997</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>5</TD><TD>4</TD><TD>3.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg2><TD>1998</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>4.0</TD><TD>1</TD></TR><TR class=bg3><TD>1999</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>1.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg2><TD>2000</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>16</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>25</TD><TD>2.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg3><TD>2001</TD><TD>Green Bay Packers</TD><TD>9</TD><TD>9</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>1.0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR><TR class=bg4><TD>TOTAL</TD><TD>12 NFL Seasons</TD><TD>181</TD><TD>165</TD><TD>38</TD><TD>533</TD><TD>20.5</TD><TD>3</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

My thoughts exactly. The Tampa media have been all over this, but IMO Butler was the first.

There were many others before Butler but they don't get counted simply because the sack wasn't invented until 1982.

because a lot of times the sack numbers are off because of assisted sacks getting counted by certain organizations and not others

20.5 could be 19.5 or even 19 by some stat offices

Butler played well after 1982.

you get the same thing with college football. I keep hearing no one has ever won 3 straight natoinal championships, and that is not true either. Michigan won 4 in a row. Apparently because they were a long time ago they dont count.

ESPN just changed their wording........they are now saying first CORNERBACK, not DEFENSIVE BACK.

:103631605 Surely someone forwarded this piece of investigative journalism to them...the Rx is a media outlet like few others in the world.
