He was down/in the grasp...plus the holding was in the end zone which is an automatic safety. Ridiculous.

I don't have a dime on the game - and I don't care who wins, but that was a BS call and after all that time in conference they take away a legit safety and screw Detroit.

Its calls like that one that make some people believe that refs either favor teams - or that its flat out cooked.

I agree...no matter which call they make on that play it is still a safety. Complete bullshit.

Looked very very bad, as he was down and fumbled the ball forward to keep from getting the saftey. Now was there aholding call as well? If so then it should have been a safety, no doubt. I do have the Lions and under !

No way for them to explain that the holding was outside the endzone - just by sheer placement of the initial spot.

Yes...there was a holding call also. The holding in the end zone is also an automatic safety.

They ruled it a pass which is crap but understandable...

But if it was an intentional fumble, the ball is returned to where the player fumbled which is also a safety.

There is no way around the fact that it was a safety no matter which call was made.

The GB lineman pulled the Detroit lineman into the end zone. Horrible call. How can their be such incompetence at this level??? Second only to head coaches and their crew.

TERRIBLE CALL
How could the holding be outside when the ball was on the 1 and they were backing up??

To get it wrong after such a long discussion with all of the officials is mind boggling.

Exactly...how can they get that wrong? It just doesn't make any sense at all.

the intentional grounding ruling was just comical but the killer is the holding call. The offensive line basically lined up inside the endzone.

Refs must've loaded up on GB at the half, only logical explanation.

Much worse...the "Tuck Rule" was actually a bad rule but they followed the rules. This play, they aren't even following the rules.
