It's that time of year again, some bowl teams are not going to be motivated, and some will, some coaches are already on their way out, these are always very strong factors that anyone can spot to have a decided edge every bowl season.

Which teams are going to mail it in, in your opinion?

We can usually come up with a handful each and every season.

I was surprised BC was only 1 point favs.

Michigan has to feel let down playing this shit Nebraska team.

JMAN--At first glance, it would appear that way.

However, this is so obvious that it may actually turn in Michigans favor in a way that they will be an angry bunch of wolverines.

Plus the fact, this is a VERY good Michigan team with a ton of talent.

Very leary of this game..........although do like the Buffs side in this one as a small play.

There are only a couple that stand out to this observer, with one being very obvious to me.

Can anyone guess which one that is?

At first glance I don't see as many obvious bowl no-shows out there this year.

Florida State has performed miserably for most of the second half and Penn State is a great Bowl team historically, the spread is high though.

Iowa has played much better down the stretch over Florida.

Beginning to get a great feel for this game.

By living just down the street from the OUTBACK BOWL, living in Gator country, and being a diehard Hawkeye fan.........one would certainly hope so.

Tidbit............traditionally yours truly over the past 20+ years as been VERY strong overall in the bowls(can be confirmed by Kyhawk and Hawkeye171), but have lost my two LARGEST wagers in bowl handicapping history..........both backing IOWA. Both, unhappy to admit, were both more of a HEART play than HEAD play...........and both had IOWA getting stomped!!

1982 ROSE BOWL vs WASHINGTON

2002 ORANGE BOWL vs USC

Attended both debacles in person too!

Oregon

Seems like there is always one team in the Holiday Bowl that everyone picks as their top pick in confidence pools due to a supposed mismatch. This is usually a team that feels snubbed by being in the Holiday Bowl. Then that team just doesn't show up and gets pasted. This year seems even worse than usual, with Oregon clearly not deserving its high ranking. Oklahoma, meanwhile, should just be happy to be in a bowl game the way their season started.

Saved FISHHEAD some $$$$ last year as he was wanting to take LSU all morning before the game! Told him to take Iowa on moneyline but he didn't listen..no play on the game for him, i believe...just lots of :drink: :drink:

Oregon is the obvious team that got left out of the big Bowls this year. They ran the table except for losing to 3 time National Champ USC { I've already kissed off the chances of the Pathetic Big 12 in the Rose Bowl }, and they get sent to where ? Ridiculous ! However one must not forget that when Oregon got left out of the Championship Bowl a few years back, they were a monster and they have played very well in their Bowl games.

UCLA is probably still wounded from that pounding they took by USC. Plus, it seems that they were lucky to win most of their games this year. I could see Northwestern torching the Bruins, just like they got routed by a lousy Arizona team.
