lots of retards playing at the tables, so watch out

people have no clue about basic strategy

the highest table was 25, so i played there to avoid the idiot factor

their most popular game was Spanish 21 or whatever they called it

heading on another cruise next month

I played BJ on a smaller ship that was commisioned by my company for a week long cruise. After the first few shutes and plenty of tips she started to deal out our hands based on what she knew she held. I won 3k that night. There was no pit boss and no camera. Like I said it was a ship for about 200 people. They must have known something went down however because they didn't let her work the table anymore...

2nd what he is saying. I probably have been on 7 cruises and one thing is consitent. Next to no one knows how to play. If you play several times during the cruise you will get to know 4 or 5 people who are there alot and know how to play. It's like a little club. Happens everytime I go.

not going to get into this old argument again, but it has absolutely no affect on you if everyone else "doesn't know how to play"

anyway, your payoffs on the cruise ships will always be much worse than normal casinos

keep an eye on the pay tables for every game because they will rip you off.

Progressives generally get reset every time a new cruise starts.

the house edge on the ships is MASSIVE

your best bet is to meet a few people and get a poker game together...there is always one going on somewhere on these ships

avoid the slots, they pay out like 75%.

I figure they have no competition for action so why should they pay out decently? I avoided them like the plague.

I've played on 4 Carnival Cruise ships and one Royal Caribbean. The odds aren't the greatest, but it's the only game in town! :lolBIG:

This summer i was on the Carnival Miracle, the hurricanes caused the ship to miss 2 of our ports, so instead of 3 days at seA we had 5.....I live close to Atlantic City and play alot of craps there as well as 3 card poker.....With the extra time at sea i stopped in the casino, headed to the craps table and noticed most ppl were betting 1,2,and 5 bucks a roll....i am a much bigger player and just watched for a while....same with the 3 card and black jack tables....PEOPLE ON BOARD A SHIP THAT LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A CASINO "GIVE" THEIR MONEY AWAY ON A SHIP, AND THEY SUCK SO BAD AT ROLLING DICE AND PLAYING BJ THAT THEY WILL GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THE SHIP ALSO.....

If you decide to play, just do it for fun and not really to win money, they do have low limits so you can just play and enjoy yourself.....just be careful off all the jackasses, its rather annoying playing with ppl that have no idea what they are doing (i.e. hitting on a 16 in blackjack..blowing on the dice and rolling them so they don't hit the back stop on a craps table...etc...)
