What kind of referral bonus is the average out there....percentage wise. Also, looking to open an account maybe max will be one dime and i want a very very secure book that doesnt slow pay if i need money and isnt going anywhere...ok gurus please chime in..i was thinking of bodog..any opinions and feedback as to others...
welcome! plenty of books out there. being a newbie you should have no problem getting a 20%cash bonus. start with the many sponsors here and go from there. be sure to take note of the rollovers. some may be 2 or 3 times, some may be 5,6, or more times. check to see if they have a 30 day hold as well. also check each books lines early in the morning to see if they offer overnight lines if that is important to you. most people will tell you pinnacle is a must have book, i agree, they have the best lines and are usually first up, yet bonus is 10% there. some books offer reduced juice on certain days, some books offer no juice on your favorite team, some books will throw in a free parlay along with your bonus if you ask, ...........another words shop around. its a buyers market out there if you know what you are looking for. good luck!

By the way since you have hockey in your name i'm going to take a wild guess and say you bet hockey if so you really outta look into Pinnacle since they are just about the only shop that has -105 pricing on hockey. The bonus is only 10% but in the long run -105 in hockey will save you alot of cash.

BetJamaica Deleting Bets?
I thought BetJamaica was pretty good also. I got a good bonus and a fast payout after winning 3 times my deposit amount. But recently a friend of mine something negative about them. He placed a bet with BetJamaica for a dime on a NBA game on the spread -- a line that was not any different than other books -- no indication of a typo or error. He logged off and left the house to enjoy his evening out. He check the game stats on TV and noticed that he won...came home and logged on to BJ and found no winnings, checked his email and saw that they had sent and email after 10 minutes after he placed the bet that they deleted the bet b/c of a line error. I think this is extremely unfair. It's clear that they did delete the bet BEFORE the game started. But it's not fair because my friend did "win" his bet and had no idea his bet got deleted until it was too late.
I had this happen only once at a different book and they did the fair thing...they gave me the winnings with an adjustment to correct the line error.
Shouldn't BJ do the same? Does anyone have a contact that my friend can complain to there?

When you say, "I know they dont have the best reputation", Why would you or anybody play with this book. If you or anybody want a reputable book with a big bonus try the following:
1. Wagerweb 20% plus a 1% volume rebate weekly (although that may change to .5% after football)
2. Betjm 20% initially, and negotiable reloads thereafter (depending if you are up or down)
3. Olympic (21% initial, 11% reload)
4. Heritage (20% Bonus Play, although they have numerous bonus packages throughout the year)
5. 777 rock (20% bonus or 30% freeplay)
These are but a few. I havent played with bettrojan, but they are getting good buzz and are offering up to 20% and -105. Many more reputable books with bonuses, but dont sign up with royal as if you win a significant amount, you may not get paid or at the very least, stalled for a very long time.
