This topic comes up frequently here in Phila. But we are homers who either love the guy or hate him. I'd like to see some outsiders views.

The ranking would be for a season (not if starting a franchise or for one game). Please list all the QB's you would have higher than him.

Thanks.

My initial thoguhts would be:

1. Brady
2. Manning
3. Brees
4. Delhome
5. Palmer
6. Hassselback
7. Farve
8. Vick
9. Greise
10. Green
10. McNabb

Just missing out were Rothlessbeger and Leftwitch

Let me know what you think.

not sure hasselbeck deserves top 6 yet. He has a top O-Line and top RB to help him out. Put him in another situation and im not so sure he is as good. If Alexander leaves next year, then we will see what Hasselbeck is made of.

Delhomme and Favre also with way way too many INT's right now. Especially Favre (22 INT's this year).

THAT'S A FAR CRY FROM TOP 10 QB LISTS OF YESTERYEAR.

Interesting how far Drew Brees has climbed...I think Palmer is #3, the rest are all very inconsistent...the QB position isn't what it use to be.

McNabb ranked #10. Thats way to low. I am not sure who would want Greise, Delhome, Vick, or Farve ahead of McNabb.

This is coming from a Redskins fan so its biased. I hate him and the eagles. Would love for him to get traded out of the NFC east. Please bench him or trade hi.

ACTIVE QB's alltime?

Would not put McNabb in the top ten......or possibly even top 15.

Even my diehard EAGLES fans here in Tampa agree to this.

They are totally disgusted with the bum.

All this crap about FAVRE being washed up is pure garbage.

Anybody in their right mind would want Favre leading their team over McSoup.

This speaks not to McNabb's talent, but rather the mediocre talent at qb overll. I argue with Hinesward86 daily, and last year we decided we would stop wasting time on lists, and begin using a teired ranking system.

Teir 1: Manning, Brady, Palmer.

Teir 2 to come....

I still believe McNabb has the skills to be a top tier quaterback, he just has never maximized them. Tough to say after 7 years.

His job has basically been to improve field position, wait for the defense to do a good job, and capitalize just enough to get the win. He relunctance or inability to run in recent years has really hurt his productivity. As a west coast quarterback, one would expect a completion percentage well above 60%, but that is not the case. He has only successfully thrown downfiedl to TO in his career, as evidenced by his YPA in 2004 and passer rating that year.

here is alink to his stats http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=1753

The most frustrating thing watching him is his inability to hit the receiver in stride, reducing the YAC dramitaccly. Recivers are always turning, bendding down, etc to catch his passes.

Brady, Manning, Palmer very hard to seperate this year. McNabb is as talented as most of the Tier 2" QBs but he loses alot of points for game management, and sorry to say it is more on him than it is Andy Reid. I have not seen every Philly game since DM has been up but the majority I have seen DM screws up clock mangemnt or is lackadaisical about getting team set for snap. He gets praised all over the place for the things he does well so he might be a little overrated anyway, but he can be fantastic and is often.

FWIW, I wouldnt put Favre or Griese in that tier 2, I would add Bledsoe who is having a great year and Dallas isn't even close without him. Also of tier 2 guys Trent Green may get the least amount of respect but give him his due, he is a great QB who can put the ball anywhere on the field.
