BEING A SPORTS FAN IS OFTEN A HELPLESS TASK!!!! WE CAN'T CONTROL VERY MUCH ABOUT WHAT ARE FAV/TEAMS DO....WHEN IT COMES TO THE NFL...ALL WE CAN DO IS DECIDE WHETHER TO BUY TICKETS,OR NOT...DECIDE WHETHER TO WATCH ON TV OR NOT AND DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO BUY THAT NEW THRID JERSEY FOR $80-LETS HYPOTHETICALLY SAY ITS BLACK WITH HONOLULU BLUE AND SILVER TRIM...
THIS IS WHY THIS WEEKS CONTEST HAS GAINED A LOT OF INTEREST FROM MEDIA!
SO....IT WOULD SEEM THE LOINS HAVE AN INEVITABLE PLUNGE TO 4-10 RECORD.....5TH STRAIGHT DOUBLE DIGIT LOSS SEASON,NOT ACCOMPLISHED SINCE THE 1994 TB DID SO....BUT....8 YEARS LATER THEY WON THE SUPERBOWL......SO GET READY DETROIT FOR THAT PARADE IN 2013 !!!!!
COME DRAFT DAY...ESPECIALLY WITH ANOTHER MATT MILLEN SPECIAL,THE TOP 10 SELECTION..
TRUTH BE TOLD...ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE ON PURPOSE TO BE ABLE TO DRAFT IN THE TOP 10 FOR 5 STRAIGHT SEASON...BUT MILLEN ISN"T SPECIAL FOR NOTHING....IS HE...
BUT....FORD HAS A THING FOR HIM...CANT THERE BE ANY OTHER EXPLANATION? HE MUST BE A GREAT GUY TO TELL OLD NFL STORIES OVER DINNER.....

MANY PEOPLE USE THE PHRASE"YOU CANT FIGHT CITY HALL"...BUT...YOU CANGET EVERYONE TO NOTICE THAT YOU WANT HIM FIRED
THAT SEEM TO BE THE PLAN THIS SUNDAY.MY PREDICTION IS THE CAMERAS ARE GOING TO HAVE A VERY DIFFICULT TIME AVOIDING THE ARMY OF PEOPLE WEARING "FIRE MILLIN T-SHIRTS"
THE WORST 5 YEAR STRETCH IN LOINS HISTORY!!!!!

I DO THINK IF YOU SPEAK LOUDLY ENOUGH SUNDAY AND ARE WELL-BEHAVED ABOUT IT,THE FORDS WILL HAVE TO LISTEN.....

THE ONLY WAY I'M GOING TO HAVE MY HOME TEAM IN THE SUPERBOWL IS TO MOVE.............

I'M ACE-ACE AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE:toast:

Take a reciever in the draft. Hell yeah why not. Seriously though, I was born and raised just north of the motor city(live in FLA now) and I thought I seen it all until Millen got to town. I'm not sure that the Ford family doesn't just need to sell the team to Mike Illitch. At least you know he'll spend the money and time to build a winner. The Ford family has time after time fumbled the ball. How can you actually sit back and watch the last three drafts and say "yeah Matt great pick". It just doesn't make sense.
With this said I hope they bring in a Sean Payton or another offensive young mind to help out a new QB that they'll have to eventually draft.AGAIN! If you pick receivers in consective drafts they do need someone to throw the ball to them.Joey Harrington and Steve"I way overacheived in san fran"Garcia are not the answers.APPLE

Too bad WDFN didn't call the fan protest "The Millen Man March". This will embarass the FOrd family far more than any no-shows. Whats a few missing $ to the Ford family? Their name in a negative light is far worse.I thought they hit bottom with the Marty Morningweg experience.

THE MILLEN MAN MARCH

The Chicago Sun-Times suggested that title for a Detroit Lions fans protest set for Sunday outside Ford Field, where the team is expected to lose badly to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fans have had it with team president Matt Millen, the latest Architect of Doom employed by that star-crossed franchise. Tipsheet feels their pain, having grown up cheering for Mel Farr, Lem Barney and Greg Landry.

WDFN radio asked listeners to write a slogan for Lions. The winner: “Not This Millenium.” (Get it? Millen-ium?)

A billboard with that slogan will be unveiled Friday near the stadium. The billboard will also feature a second slogan: “Rebuilding since ’57.”

When last we saw the Lions in their stadium, security guards scurried after fans displaying anti-Millen signs. So the WDFN took the campaign to the next level.

“It was all born from simmering anger over the depths of how bad the team has gotten,” WDFN program director Rona Danziger told the Detroit News. “We want to promote people protesting, showing their feelings in a creative way, and having fun with it
.
“It’s about showing the Lions how fans feel in an organized, peaceful way.”

So they will try to keep the arson to a minimum.

For more on the protest, check out the WDFN site.

If true, that would be one of the funnier things that I've ever seen at an NFL game

They did the same thing at a Redwings game to
in fact a fan brought a sign and Security did not
take it away from him.

A Detroit Red Wings fan holds up a 'Fire Millen' sign during the NHL game against the New Jersey Devils at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The sign is a copy of the sign Detroit Lions fans held up during the NFL game against the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field in Detroit December 4. Ford Field security took away the signs during the Lions game and ejected some of the fans from the stadium deeming the signs offensive.

Wow...didn't know that they were tossing people for having a sign. Better them than me I'd be -275 to end up in cuffs.<!-- / message -->
