I here a comments now and then about him getting run out but what exactly happened? Did they just phase him out?

NBC hired him for next year. He's basically taken a year off.

i see him on " costas now " , but havent watched the nfl show in years.

basically getting paid to sit at home this season.He is not part of the NBC booth broadcast team I belive he will be one of the studio hosts for NBC pre game and halftime shows.

Madden is doing the color on the Sunday night games.
