I bought a pager off of a guy on ebay and it stopped working after 3 weeks recently. $100 for 3 weeks service is pretty fair right???

He wouldn't fix the problem for free so I filed a claim thru Paypal disputes.

It appears that this takes a long time to resolve.

I've heard that the buyers have a good chance of winning.

Anybody been thru this? I'm very pissed off about it.

Paypal CS sucks....always has. About the only good thing I can say about it is that it at least exists now-it didn't in the early days....not at all.

Not a big fan of the ebay/pay pal cs, either.

couple years ago, my gf bought a Redskins Super Bowl winning DVD (the year they beat the Dolphins) for her brother. Thought it was an "authorized NFL copy".

Turns out the jerk off that sold it copied it off off the original, didn't even work in either one of our dvd players or the computer dvd drive either.

we filed a complaint with ebay, which was fruitless.

This really isnt a paypal issue.

Paypal only cares if you get the item you paid for. They are not a warranty dept.

PayPal is great for the buyer, but terrible for a seller. Now you have to insure shipping everything which means less of a cut for the seller. I used to buy and sell football cards on eBay. I don't anymore because having to always get insurance cuts into the sales too much.

It will take you a while, but if you file a claim with Paypal, and they decide you have a case, they will take the money from the seller and give it back to you, may take at least 30 days though..

Paypal is the worst
They have so many issues, and there are so many fraudsters on there

Best of luck though....Don't be surprised if they freeze your bank account for a few weeks while they "sort it out"
