Well......

I Love ESPN Radio, but I get that Locally.
Also, Like JIM ROME..he's on AM here, and my AM just doesn't pick up.

Lots of Sports Talk...not Big into listening to games over the radio..!
Lots of Music...Have SIRIUS on DirectTV, and it's Good!

Any Help..much appreciated..!

My wife has XM. I have Sirius. I really prefer her XM.

Baseball is a big plus as I am in the car during the afternoon. NFL is not that big a deal as I am in front of the tube on Sunday. Only thing I like better about Sirius in the NFL radio station.

I've had XM for nearly two years and love it. I'd go to their respective web sites and check out the channels they offer and go from there.

I don't know if you can find Rome on satellite, but the big networks--ESPN radio, Sporting News Radio, Fox Sports Radio--all have satellite stations. It's great to avoid the stupid local pre-empts like, for example, the 60 minutes of the "USF Bull Rush" that I just painfully sat through instead of Shemon and J-Dub on FSR.

I can't wait for Santa to bring me my xm!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tip for everyone on this. You may not be able to use it in your car if you live in a major city. The FM modulator only can do so much and in many major cities almost every piece of the FM spectrum is taken. Whenever I drive to LA or SD, once I get out of the hills the Sirius gets put away. Literally cannot find one station with a clean no signal on it so I can get the Sirius in. Even in Vegas it is pretty bad, the few stations I use aren't clean so the signal doesn't come in well.

I think to really enjoy satellite well in your car you have to get it with a direct connection either through your car stereo or installed with a new car.

Have had XM for three years and have had Sirius on my Dish TV and feel the music programming is so much better with XM. Sirius is very repetitive. But I did also get Sirius just for Stern this month. The equipment is free after rebate for some radios.

I agree. I have a direct connect in my car. Unplugged the CD changer in the trunk and ran a line going to the back of the head unit. Sounds almost CD quality.

Is "direct connect" easy? I'm a techno-idiot.

Newlywed, you might want to take another look at the 800 channels on DirectTV. My Direct Tv has XM Channels on them. I just bought XM for my bride for Christmas. Plus, no Stern on XM, which was a major buying point for wife and me.

Happy Festivus!!!

I thought it was easy.

I have a factory installed radio. I asked the local dealership to "pop it out". (He has "keys" that go into the four slots around the radio.)

Once out, I pulled out the piece that connects the radio to the cd changer and put in the cord that goes from my XM unit to the radio and that's it. Sound quality is ten times better.
