How many of these places are there in Vegas? I've never been to one, but I'll be there around March. Are these places sports/race books only? I mean, are they just small establishments strictly for racing and sports or are they located inside of other casinos? On a side note, how difficult/costly is it (if anyone knows) to get a gaming license if it's just for racing and sports (if there are no table games and such)?? Can you get a partial gaming license - for certain games only - or do you have to get a license for everything? Feel free to tell me to go read the laws.......I think I'll do that anyways, was just wondering if anyone knew.

Most Leroy's are just rented space in some of the lesser casinos that don't want to have their own book.
Think Golden Gate, Four Queens, Ellis Island; hotels like that. Leroy's largest presence is probably the Riviera.
Leroy's has a big presence in some of the rural towns of Nevada as well.

They don't offer much as far as value, but they did give out the standard major sports lines.

FWIW, the best bet is to bring your laptop and wager offshore.

I believe that Leroys has one stand alone book downtown. Al the rest are in casinos that don't want to handle the sports/race action! Frontier and Terribles come to mind. ONe nice thing about Leroy's is that you can cash a winning ticket at any of them no matter where you bought it!

The Leroy's places are tiny holes-in-the-wall with about 10 or 20 seats. Don't waste your time; go to Caesar's, LV Hilton, Mirage or Bally's and you'll forget that Leroy's even exists.
