LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Brett Tomko became the third former San Francisco player to switch to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tomko reached a preliminary agreement on an $8.7 million, two-year contract, two people close to the negotiations said Thursday. Both requested anonymity because the deal was not final.

Sharp move Dodgers.

The need for a number 17 starter has now been met.

Tomko should make the disabled list by late May.

I'm not sure what they see in Steve Finley at this point ...Finley either became over the hill overnight or was no longer on the juice, either way his production fall off the table....Alfonso wasn't much better though.
