You can take Cinci, Denver, Carolina, and Seattle out of that list.

None of them have any kind of chance of even getting to the superbowl let alone winning it.

Here is why.

Cinci: VERY POOR DEFENSE. Good offense but you can't win games with offense alone

Denver: Good Offense and Defense except they are a very inconsistant team.

Carolina: Virtually No offense, no consistancy either

Seattle: Good offense, POOR DEFENSE

I think the Giants have a shot of getting there...but not winning it.

I think the Bengals defense is pretty good though...

Their defense is ranked 21st in the league...

Agree for the most part with JM and Ego, but I'd add a few.....here's my list of teams that "could" win the Super Bowl, no matter how small that chance may be. Technically, all 12 playoff teams "could" win, but we all know a few teams won't.

AFC - Indy, Denver, Cincy, New England, San Diego
NFC - Sea, Car, Chi, NYG

Sure, some of these teams have flaws......even Indy isn't "the perfect team", but in my opinion any of these teams "could" win it all, if they were to get hot in the playoffs.

Any playoff team CAN win.
I agree, thats why they play the games. Look how many wild card teams that have won over the years or been a threat. Every team can have a bad day. If Indy's offensive line plays the same in the playoffs like they played against SD they will be out in the first game.

TAMPA BAY BUCS

IF THEY WIN their last two games at home vs Atl and NO

1) Carolina loses to either Dallas or next week at Atlanta, giving the South to TBAY

2) Giants lose at Washington, giving the Bucs the tiebreaker based on common opponents record (Bucs 4-1, Giants 3-2)

3) Bears get upset in GB and then lose at Minny.

This puts Bucs as #2 seed.

If Bears do NOT lose both of their final games, Bucs are #3 and would host the lowest WC. In above scene that's likely the Skins or Panthers.

I think they could win against either at home.

In either scenario - #2 or 3 - they likely have to go to Seattle for NFC Championship.

BUT, in the first scene, as #2 seed, they could HOST the NFC Championship if Seattle is upset in Week 19.

The Bucs defense is the best outside or MAYBE Chicago, but has far more championship experience.

Plus, as I type, the Bucs are 30 to 1 for Super Bowl at Carib.

I already have a big $40 placed earlier in the season at avg odds of 20to1 and may get down one more time if they win tomorrow, Skins beat Giants and Bears get upset in GB.

I guess all the teams that make the play offs can win the Superbowl. Personaly I don't know if anyone can stop the Colts.

The top level teams in the AFC are so close, with the exception of Indy. I really would not be shocked to see any of the following AFC teams make it to the Super Bowl:

In order of most likely to least likely
AFC: Indy, Denver, Cinci, San Diego, New England, Pittsburgh

NFC is a little more top heavy. Think it will be one of the following teams:
NFC: Seattle, Giants, Carolina, Maybe Chicago

The teams that get the first round byes will have a huge leg up on the other teams especially in the NFC

SB will be

NY GIANTS AND THE PATRIOTS.

With the Pats winning by 7.

I like it! Wouldn't that be ironic to see little brother in the SB before Peyton?
