whenever i see your handle i remember something that happened about ten or more years ago.

had relatives that lived about half way between los angeles and san diego. so one sunday i drove down with my kids and had my relatives baby sit and i ended up driving into tijuana to spend the afternoon at a sportsbook in mexico.

was going down to play the ucla duke game (was the big number 1 vs 3) and i played all the early tv games as well.

i played utah minus 6 (dont remember who they played) and utah was ahead and blue edwards had the ball and was hacked with one second left and utah up by six. nbc showed final score utah win by six at which point sports book changed tv to a later game. i figured no foul was called and i went and got my money back for the push.

on the way home i was looking at my sports pager and saw utah by seven. thought it was a mistake until i checked the morning paper utah by seven.

turns out after the game was over officals got edwards on the way to the locker room to shoot as far as the game was concerned meaningless but put utah over.

i tried to call the book and explain the next day but they acted like i had lost it. so whenever i see blue edwards i remember that day.

if you want me to call that crooked book, let me know. i'll explain the whole thing and even re-enact it if they want me to. pretty sure i can still hit one of two from the line.
