I wonder if this will be his Swan Song, on XMAS day, with many families tuned in....

I can see Brett retiring after this game (skipping seattle) should they win on Xmas day....

will we see some MAGIC today?

Being as big a fan of Brett's as anybody, my gut feeling(maybe more heart), thinks he returns next year............and leads the PACK back to the playoffs.

Either way, fully support whatever Mr. Farve decides to do.

GO PACK!

All the Planets are aligning, Green Bay at Home on Xmas Day against the new Kids after Farve plays a stinker.

Copied:

Rex Grossman has made six starts in his NFL career and has thrown for 200-plus yards and two touchdowns in only one of them. One of those six was a road win last season in Green Bay, against a Packers pass defense that was far worse than the one Rex will see this Sunday. He completed 10 passes and finished with 118 yards, one touchdown, and one interception

Cramps aren’t an unusual injury in the NFL, but seeing a number of players come down with cramps in a single game is, especially when it happens on both sides of the field. Odder still, the game wasn’t played in the heat of Texas or California, but the cold Chicago day – 12 degrees at kickoff, Michael David Smith tells me – makes it even more surprising. Cramps usually come in heat or from dehydration, so unless the Gatorade froze up, I’m stumped. One source I asked told me it may be the coaches: “I don’t know either of these [coaches], Lovie Smith or Jim Mora, but they’re both young. Maybe their teams aren’t quite as conditioned as they should be and we’ll see this next week as well.”

The planets definitely are lining up here......it's almost too obvious-especially after some of the upsets yesterday.

GB ML anyone?

Be fun if Bears lose and Vikes win, Bears at Vikes for the division title in Week 17 with the loser maybe not even making post season

Anyone who reads my posts knows I am one of the most critical of Favre...but I think they win today. If he can cut down on the turnovers, I think Green Bay's defense will win this game.

fine GB ml. Farve is a god and Chicago can't score.

Seriously Green Bay is probably the way to go. After Grossman's inspiring win on national tv and Farve and Green Bay's embarassing effort against the Ravens on monday night its only logical.

Chicago could be in for a letdown while Green Bay is looking to restore some pride.

Only concern is Farve against this defense automatically means 2-3 interceptions, hope they come on 3rd and longs and act like a punt.

the guy sux at this point in his career, i mean he is surrounded by garbage and can't do it himself anymore, so it will just continue to get worse, he really needs to hang em up and quit embarassing himself.

2 or 3 more INT's today!

Interesting to see so much Packer support here while the # is being pressured upward.

I'm on the GB wagon today!! Hope Favre is on because they have no running game now...Noah Herron:pucking: ........their defense has been pretty darn good all season...we won't count last week. Bears offense is terrible. Believe Al Harris shut down the moose last match up as well...he is having probowl year. For once in my life i'll say....

GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!

The number continues to climb because Packer backers haven't placed any bets...we are waiting for 7.5 even though I doubt it will get there.

Come on man, GB has little to no chance to win. The Bears D will probably score twice today and Grossman is all the extra confidence the Bears O needed to put up an additional 7 to 10 points a game. Bears will roll here.

I cannot stand it any longer. This is my first post after accessing and enjoying this site for many years. I am a longtime sports gambler and poker player and look forward to many future posts.
Having said that, I see the Bears as a very strong play. As playoff time looms, the great defenses tend to dominate. Remember the no-offense, great defense Ravens of 2000. I see an easy cover for the Bears and the definite possibility of a rout. I have loaded up on this one.

Prediction:
Favre throws 4 ints and Bears win 20-0
Jones has 100 + rushing yards and 2 tds
Sherman should bench Favre for Rodgers, see if hes any good, but as usual Sherman will have no balls to do so.

Welcome to the Rx Herm! Thanks for the post and the analogy, I agree 100%. That could mean trouble for anyone on the Bears! LOL! Good Luck and Welcome aboard! :toast:
