OT- Question about Sirius Radios at home

Just got a Sirius radio from Santa!

Haven't taken the time to read the instructions. Does the radio need to sit next to the window in order to receive the signal? Or is it like a AM/FM radio that can go anywhere? Does the wire antenna need to be attached to the window and exteneded to the radio. I would prefer to not have wires in my bedroom.

There is going to be a wire out there. The antenna needs to be in a spot where it has a clear shot at the signal.

also have sirius. have had for a year.love it!!! suggestion to you.just listen online.they will give you a code to do that

Are you not able to get reception on your radio?

I would prefer not to have my computer on at night in order to listen to my radio.

i see!

i never bothered to hook it up inside.like you did not want to deal with the wires.etc.

i listen online all the time and at night i get it on my tv(dish) in my bedroom.

you are going to love it,you will never be able to listen to regular radio again!!!

i like all kinds of music,but listen mostly to classic rewind.awesome stations and stern starts jan.9th

I have XM and just got Sirius. (Wanted to compare the two for a month.) XM is ten times better! Better reception, better sound quality and better music programming.
