Redskins - Are they legit?

What do you guys think?

I am a blind homer and feel they have a decent shot to make the playoffs and maybe win a playoff game either @ TB or @ NY?

I think Joe Gibbs has done a great job on his second year back. They are a solid 9-7 with a suspect win over dallas. But they also have a loss on a 2pt conversion(Don't think he got in) @TB, OT loss to SD, and a last second loss to the Raiders.

They are as good as anyone else in the NFC, Seahawks not included.

we will see this weekend if they cant beat phily to secure a playoff birth then they dont deserve to be in the playoffs.

I agree. I'm not sold on the Skins, but they are definitely making a late run for it.

Oldirt,
I use next week to get everything down for the playoffs, the thing about the Skins looking at my figures is there is a direct correspondance to them not being able to run the ball and having sucess as a Defense. Maybe its injuries or the score at the time, thats why I leave this week to concentrating on the playoff teams.

I am a 'Skins fan from way back but I still believe this should be a pick 'em game. All early money I have seen is on the Skins - I believe this line will indeed close pick 'em! Good Luck to the the Washington Redskins, their coach, players and especially the fans and people who will bet on them!

They beat the Hawks baby!!! I was there!

I am a homer for my skins too....but I think they definetly have a shot to beat the bucs and/or get out of the NFC!!!!!

I was there too, and they should've lost. Skins outplayed them for 55 minutes, then gave the game away in the last five. We were very fortunate to win that game. Regardless, I still think they can and should beat the Bucs. There's no way they're going to let Simms sit back and get comfortable in the pocket like he did in the first game. They'll pressure him all day. That will be the difference.

Chris Simms will spend more time on his ass Saturday than I do on any given day. And that's more than you can even imagine, trust me. Well, maybe RobFunk can, since he seems to have a grasp of exactly how unproductive, lazy, and morbidy obese I am. At any rate, Simms is in for a long day.

All the 'Skins have to do is blitz, blitz, blitz Sims this weekend and they should win it. Which sucks for me because I have to listen those crazy ass 'Skins fans I work with for one more week!
