this is a longshot, but

did you just install / update spyad or equivalent bad site blocker? the bet in the name may trigger blocking....

and sometimes it's a dns problem, either with your isp or any server / relay on the web between you & betcris-- try surfing to it without the www & with-- toggling this way is often a great workaround... When a website changes ip address, sometimes the change doesn't make it to to all servers, including your isp's-- this app(treewalk) automatically takes care of that, & also quickens your surfing due to the way those changes are not just retrieved, but cached locally: http://ntcanuck.com/ btw those on win9x need to get instead the one called Bindle...

good luck.

Also, i always recommend Maxthon Combo to all IE users-- runs on top of IE engine, but has more features & is safer-- and it doesn't accomplish the latter by just disabling features & settings as MS likes to do(just got updated today again btw): http://www.majorgeeks.com/download1244.html

thanks Charles, i am not a computer guy. this is where i work so i will ask my tech guy about it. it is possible he did something security wise that did this. having bet in the name is not it because betjamaica is no problem. i will see if my guy can figure it out tomorrow. thanks for the info.

At a command prompt (Start/Run - Open: cmd)

> ping www.betcris.com.

That will tell you if it's a DNS problem. If it works, then:

> tracert www.betcris.com.

will tell you if it's a network problem.

Although these sometimes won't work thru firewalls or from some ISPs that block ICMP packets.

You may also try a secure (SSL) connection:

https://www.betcris.com/default.aspx

SSL will bypass most proxy blocks.

I have problems with betcris all the time. I called them and they gave me an alternate site that works alot faster and is very easy to place your wagers.

The alternate site: www.sport-bet.net

I think you will find that it works great.

Cris has been very slow when making multiple wagers, but the plays are being made.

Not as bad today as yesterday.

I am using firefox.
