It's an interesting comparison, as my second ex-wife was a meth-head, that's methamphetamine a highly addictive drug which is sweeping across the country. To make a long story short, it was a short marriage, only 10 months. We had some great times, but some of the most awful times of my life also. Drugs, alcohol and gambling are all very dangerous when taken to the extreme. At least with alcohol and gambling there can be moderation. I know with meth, it was all or nothing. My best advice, stay away from it and make sure your kids are staying away from it.

Degenerate - in big debt, loves action and can't control himself . You win you win but you lose and lose some more, taking out loans , lies to his family, it's a neverending cycle that will get you nowhere.
Crackhead - is addicted to the high.. the shit that lasts 5-10 minutes, euphoric feeling. When it's done he wants more and will do anything to get it. A crackhead will betray his friends and steal money from family until he is left without family or a friend.
Alcoholic - Gets wasted everynight, usually because of depression or just because of the addiction. Gets violent, dangerous when driving, has no control over himself. Loves the feeling of being drunk all the time, that's what keeps him sane.
Cokehead - Hell of a drug, addictive only if you let it be. Makes you feel good about yourself, wont alter your vision while driving. Makes you feel euphoric, really nice for parties and all of that. Hangovers are horrible, fucks up your nose. It was expensive not anyone can get it, if you get addicted money might be a factor.
I believe that all the addictive qualities are there. It's best to be addicted to making real money like working a real job, addicted to sex and things that are good in life.

There were millions of people who used cocaine and meth in the 80's and 90's and were able to do so recreationally, just like alcohol. We always hear about the sad people who have lives ruined by the drugs but never the ones who use it socially.

Exactly why I started Gambling. About 10 years ago I had a bad Cocaine problem....goin through about 1/2 OZ a day...man those were some days...started Gambling and figured that this was a better addiction since I had a chance to win my $$ back:toast:
