I remember hearing early on this year about betting on college athletics and how the feds were going to look at this real close at the end of the year to see how much notority was given to the point spread of certain games. If we continue to see the bowl season come down to the final possesion of each game like it seems to have in each of the first 7 bowl games one way or another(ats & Over/under) I got a feeling that they are going to try and do everything in their power to curtail college sports betting. I hope not, but I think McCain and his boys might be watching this rather close. What do you all think?

They're forcing 75% of the games to hit the middle if it's feasible so they can wipe out the offshore industry with middles......just kidding-I think

Tonight, I didnt see anything blatant to justify an investigation.

Rutgers got the ball with 3 minutes remaining and asu up 12 went prevent D to not give up anything big.

Rutgers completed a few passes, driving most of the field, and finally got the backdoor.

No defensive penalties were called to raise any questions.

I was not home to watch the col/clemson game.

For all intents and purposes, how would they go about this? I couldnt imagine not having a number on a college game. I absolutly love college sports gambling, and as a matter of fact if I want to throw money down on these 18 year olds I should be able to do whatever I please. I know the consequences.

Its all govt babble.....no way the govt can stop a number from being hanged on games people want to attend, wager and/or watch via television.

If they stopped Vegas from taking action on NCAA games, of course offshore and locals would handle most (as currently). If somehow offshore was shut down, a # would still be out there someplace for locals to hang betting lines.

How many people would watch the second half of the midnight espn cbb triple header matchup of E. Washington @ Gonzaga -26.5 after Zaga is up 18 at halftime?

Also, how many viewers kept tuned in tonight after ASU went up 12 with plenty of time remaining and even after Rutgers kicked down the backdoor?

If people dont like getting backdoored, learn to back more underdogs or know what coaches/teams are notorious for punching in and/or giving up late scores.

Amusing how offshore almost always means Carribean and S. America.

There will always be plenty of action at European books on N. American sports, which the US will never be able to shut down.
