The MVC is traditionally a very tough conference to win on the road in!!!

This appears to be a very, very tough game for UNI on paper, especially considering it is the MVC opener.

Recall last year Viking and Illini(both devout MVC followers) making a comment that every team in the MVC may go undefeated at home in the conference(as a joke of course, but they were just emphasizing how tough it is to win on the road in the MVC).

Whenever I see a good team like UNI not getting respect in the polls I see dollar signs. This means they will not get respect in their lines either. Look to see them being dogs against some relatively good teams, then bet on the Panthers and count your money.

That's a weak schedule.....They have played only two good teams and lost to one of them...

Wish I were home, because I would love to go to this game. It should be a great one. I don't recommend a play, but I would go with UNI if I was betting it. Bradley doesn't guard the three ball very well, and if Jacobsen gets hot, game over. But Bradley is good, and crashes the boards, so they could win by double digits if UNI doesn't hit their threes.

Granted, the Panthers scheduled isn't loaded with top-20 teams, but three wins in four roads games isn't bad, especially with the only loss a four-pointer at Iowa State. UNI will be a force in the Missouri Valley and should be NCAA tournament bound again.

How high are they supposed to be ranked? I think 34th is fair. They are only 1-1 in games with meaning. They are 8-0 with wins over average and below average teams.

I don't disagree....and it's not that UNI should be ranked higher....it's that Iowa is over-rated. They will probably come in 4th or so in the big ten.

If Iowa finishes fourth in the big-10, I would be happy. Can't see the Hawks finishing higher than Illinois, Michigan State or Ohio State. They will likely battle Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana and Minnesota for the middle of the pack. Talk about a tough conference.
