Having a very good bowl season, but it seems like the officiating always goes against me. Sun Belt officials in tonights Michigan game were way out of their league. Made some horrendus non pass interference calls that cost Michigan the Game. Tirico & Herbstreet have been all over the refs the entire game. Rightfully so. Pitiful performance by Sun belt crew and Replay review both.
Tirico is Great. Always let you know what the penalty is or what the call will be in advance. Had Mich tonight, their was such an obvious Pass interference on Mich last drive of the first half that wasn't called. May have easily cost Mich a touchdown. Defender was beat long on the play but ball was well underthrown, receiver coming back to make catch and defender sprinting to catch up runs right into receiver. REf was right there but made no call. Riduculus.
I don't think he was out of line at all. The refs were horrible all night long. I believe the word 'incompetant' was used. He calls a spade a spade. Its not his fault most of the horrible calls went against Michigan. I'd rather have the commentators offer critical analysis than just gloss over the refs and not mention them at all.cy1981 said:
Herbstreet is a great color guy. He actually offers some insight into the game instead of just describing what happended the play before during the replay ala Paul McGuire. I hope they feature this team more often come next year.

Your wrong. Criticism was justified. Referee's sucked, blew some very obvious calls, cost Michigan 2 timeouts, very undecisive on many calls throughout game. They came from Sun Belt Conference, they had no business officiating this game. You must be a Ref yourself. Watch the game again.

Tirico as good as they come--I love his enthusiasm. These guys are the regular Thursday night crew. I do miss Corso a little, as he was obvious with his gambling references. (Musburger was very Corso-like the other night.) I'm glad Tirico was critical--I hope that somebody was watching that and will prevent high school officials from calling major bowl games.

example : they had woods in the booth a few weeks ago and azinger's cell phone is vibrating . he looks at it and says its calcavecchia .
