Several big shots in the handicapping field including some that have losing records in the NFL are all proud of themselves. They have jumped on these early numbers saying the oddsmakers are all idiots. San Diego, GB, Minn. In other words Cris and LVSC just decided to bury the stores. They think it's pre-season where scrubs are playing against another teams starters. They think that teams who have clinched playoff spots are just going to laydown even with back-ups playing. So now suddenly San Diego might be giving 11 to 11 1/2 at gametime. What happens this week when
maybe the books turn the tables and these second stringers win the games straight up burying teasers, middlers and the sheep that are now laying bad numbers. Hey, maybe this year will turn out to be "The Lost Weekend" and the books will get killed again.

:dancefool Oddsmakers, Monday Morning.

I am dumbfounded on why Pittsburgh was steamed up to -17 vs Det. The idiots failed to realize that if SD beats Denver, Pitt is in the playoffs. That must win game suddenly turns into rest the starters. Det covers this game easy. BTW, the line has dropped to -13½.

Jackstraw,
LOL no matter what way you look at it the books are fucked right now for this week- the numbers were wrong at the start - the numbers are getting battered into shape now - I tore into them but limits were severely reduced - -

by the way CRIS in 2006 will suffer - have no proper staff or they need a few more - just look at half times:dancefool :dancefool :dancefool

btw dumb cheap shot at Fezzik considering that his lifetime NFL record against lines without shopping is still in the 54% ballpark

Was not aware the "idiots" I was referring to was Fezzik. But I am sure he appreciates you bringing it to everyones attention at The RX.

"CRIS tries too hard to balance action"- beetman

Agree, sometimes I feel they have lost the plot over there...........

Plenty of volume - better ways to manage it but not of my business really, just look at what happened with the MVP books - got skinned alive this year and jumped ship with some credibility before they went belly up - BOS bought them for Fcuk all - all very strange:smoker2: :smoker2:

The original poster talking about "big shots" was obviously referring to Fezzik. Of course, win or lose these lines all moved enough to be very profitably middled.
