My only one might be to write scores down (if I'm at home and doing so) in red ink.

I knew a guy who bet in Vegas and Mexico and had to re-tie a shoelace before going to the window.

Any really interesting ones?

I have a shit-load. Will never pass any coin on heads, always give to Salvation Army, panhandlers etc., throw away my ink pen if I have 3 straight losing days. My most quirkish is if a game is coming down to the finish and up in the air, try to do what I would normally be doing if not sweating a game to the end, ie walk the dog, put the laundry in the dryer or check on the grubb on the stove. Wierd I know but can't get past it.

I refuse to answer the phone on game day unless it's an absolute emergency. In the past, when certain people call, bad shit happens(fumbles, int's, etc).

first time i went to vegas STRICTLY to play that weekend's football games i made a 5-team CFB parlay and got SUPER LUCKY in 3 of them and somehow hit the 5-teamer

after making the play and then waiting for the games to start i was hungry so i went to Slots O' Fun and got a 1/2-Pound Hot Dog

as i said i HIT the parlay and won a lot of money

i didn't know how mucht eh Dog was responsible for it but from that point on whenever i make a bet at the Stardust after making the bet i go out to Slots and get a 1/2-Pound Dog

i might only eat 4 bites of it but i NEED that Dog for luck

Honest!

For some reason I will not watch the end of close basketball games. This only happens in basketball, for some reason I will turn channel when game is close to betting line, and come back later to get an update of a final.

I knew a bookie who snorted a line any time he needed to "jinx" a team (miss a field goal, not make a fourth and short, etc.). He swore that it worked. Of course, he didn't seem too bothered when it didn't work. This was about twenty years ago. He has been dead for about fifteen years. Guess it wasn't that lucky after all.

I know this is stupid as well but I rarely watch any games on TV, but follow nearly every bet on my computer.

In the back of my mind, I think I really do not want to know if I lost a close game how it actually happened because it would piss me off too much.

If I just see a final on Don Best or follow socres on collegesports.com, I am not as emotionally involved.

I also look at the other team's score first, then the team I wagered on last.

I think I am just mentally ill.
