I thought the SEC was supposed to be good?

Every year, it seems like there are 1 or 2 conferences that drop huge surprises.

This year, I'd say Big 10 & 12 up in a big way & SEC down hard.

I think the biggest surprise so far is the Auburn game. Seemed they were playing the best football going into the game and then get dominated by an average Wisconsin team. Guess that is why they play the games.

Go underdogs

The SEC typically has 1 or 2 outstanding teams and a bunch of solid teams. This year, they lacked that outstanding team, and had a bunch of solid teams.

Georgia was the conference champ but they were really just another one of the pack. The SEC can come out, if motivated and put a hurting on a team. Or lay an egg, just like any other conference.

For every Auburn, you have an LSU (40-3 over Miami).

For every Georgia you have an Alabama (shut down the #3 offense in the country to 10 points)

For every South Carolina, you have a Florida (defeat a tough Iowa team)

All of the situations could have easily been reversed.

Yeah-I know. Smells like a freight train about to go right over WV.

With a little luck, the halftime BS will be 2 hours long so they can regroup.

We need our favorite knucklehead poster whorman to come in again and tell us how great these Sec teams play defense. I actually saw the truth back in Sept when USC laid a 70 spot on Arkansas with starters sitting in the 4th :103631605
