Haven't they gotten ridiculous in college football?? In the Ohio State game, Santonio Holmes catches an 85 yard TD pass, and raises his arm in the air at the 10 yard line to celebrate. There was no taunting, waving, high stepping, anything like that, looked to me like just being happy that he scored.
So why do they call unsportsmanlike for that? He can raise his arms when he reaches the endzone, right? So what's the difference if he isn't taunting the opposition?
There's a pretty clear line between celebration and taunting in my mind, so why can't the officials make that distinction?
