No, not because they had a bet on the game. That would happen very rarely with highly paid network sports broadcasters. (Different story with many local sports beat reporters.)

Both Keith and Dan live on the West Coast, they do a lot of USC games, and it showed in their voices and enthusiasm for the Trojans. This despite they are probably the best football broadcast duo in the land.

One other item on this game: the computer ratings, almost all of them, were finally right in a big game. They had the 'Horns as anywhere from even with USC, to a td favorite.

It's also clear that it's risky to bet any bowl team at -7 or more. (I got Texas at +7.5) Not just this year but for the last several. -10 or higher is virtually fatal.

Before the regular season ended someone posted here that one book had made USC a 6 pt fave, and it had immediately jumped to 7. I replied that if so I'd be all over Texas. And then put my bucks where my keyboard was. Though, clearly, as another poster at the time noted, the Over was the best bet.

One of the best college game I ever saw. Wish I had it on tape, I'd watch it again. Esp since I now know how it came out.

Yea it was obvious and understandable. They cover the Pac 10 all season. Jackson is about at the end of his rope but still calls a decent game. Fouts blurts out innaccurate observations too often. Have never been a big fan of him.

KJ has been a PAC-10 fan for as long as I can remember.

Sure he was heartbroken with the result of the game.

Check ESPN Classic. I believe they are running all the BCS bowls over the weekend.
