Smith and Ginn back for another yr, and will only get better, lookout for the Buckeyes .

The Buckeye's had Texas beaten and let them off the hook.

That will be one hell of a game again next year, this time @ Texas, but will Vince Young be with the Longhorns.

the Big 10 should be much stronger next yr...Same with the SEC.

Depends on if a couple of their juniors (Youboty) leave. I would say them, West Virginia, or Notre Dame.

We will know by the end of September.

Some Key September Matchups
Ohio State at Texas
Penn State at Notre Dame
Penn State at Ohio State

having Smith back isn't a big plus, IMO.

what more could he have done in the 2nd half of the season, the guy was amazing, I think he's a top 5 QB in college, easy.

Many thought that MICH--OHIO ST--IOWA were all three NATIONAL TITLE CONTENDERS this past year.

If you recall, mentioned BEFORE the season that IOWA would struggle having to replace their ENTIRE defensive line, and they did.

IOWA was a severe longshot to win the whole thing this past year, much more than most thought.

However, next year shapes up as one in which IOWA has a legit shot at the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

They return 7 starters back on both sides of the ball, including all but basically one of their offensive and defensive linemen.

With the senior leadership of QB Tate, things are looking mighty FIESTA--ISH in Iowa City next year.

Have to chime in here about the Hawks possibilities next season. Most tough games at home with Michigan on the road. :103631605

If Young comes back, they will be very tough to beat in Austin. OSU schedule is friendly with both Penn St and Michigan coming to Columbus. Troy Smith is the real deal and that offense will be one of the best in the nation next season. Defense will take a hit but it's not like they are hurting for recruits to replace them.

Texas will be the team to beat IF Young comes back...But NEVA count out the HOT Oklahoma Sooners as being right up there AGAIN.

Has Ginn made it official that he wll be staying for his senior season? I see him as a 1st round choice if he leaves now. Tough to decide who will be team to beat until everyone announces whether they are going to stay or declare for draft. The team that I see with a great chance to win it all is Florida. Chris Leak will have a year of Meyers system under his belt. Penn State will lose too many seniors to make them a threat next year.

wvu will have a legit shot... They will start high in the polls...They bring back 75% of their players...Only 1 senior will be missed as the others will be replaced easy...Schedule is also friendly...non-conference...maryland at home, at miss st, at east carolina, marshall, and no v-tech this year...also, with brohm out, hopefully they play them early enough to where he will not play...

Ginn will be back, he didn't have as good a year as I expected, he still needs to polish his game.

All this talk of Iowa being a contender to win it all is comical - this is a team that struggles to finish in the top 25 on a year in and year out basis.
