Skybook - forget the contests and get a better server

I am frustrated trying to place a wager. I just can't do it.

It's not a big deal for me, and is just an inconvenience because I am making my plays elsewhere, but this must be costing you guys a lot of money.

Agreed and its been like this the whole afternoon. I'm a pretty patience person by nature but there comes a point where you just shake your head at this.

I have a feeling that this is a DOS attack. I hope Skybook gets back online - for their sake more than mine.

I have more trouble getting into 5 Dimes and Pinnacle than I do Skybook. I think the 2 fastest wagering sites on the net are Bet Trojan and Matchbook. Never had 1 single slowdown from those 2.

If I ever run into slowdowns on Pinnacle, I just relogin and that fixes the problem because they appear to have a lot of servers.

They must have lost a lot of wagers today. I hope everything is ok. It probably inconvenienced players who don't have other outs, but most people just took their action elsewhere. It must suck to have this happen on such a big day.

The great thing about this whole thing was that NOBODY was woried about their money. Would we have had the same reaction if this had happened at say, BCN? Probably not.

I am an IT guy and have no clue what a Filtering data center is. Do they remove the ecoli from the data? Haha

When under a DDOS attack a site is under attack from forged or spoofed IP addresses and by identifying the IP's they can filter them out and fight off the attack.More than likely SkyBook was under a DDOS attack and they were having a problem identifying the IP's to stop the attack.

5 Dimes is the worst....3 differnt times today I tried to bet college basketball games and it would not except the bets..it times out...I'am done with them, they may have a lot of options but what good does that do if you can not bet them...........

I had some connect problems earlier, got on live chat and they were very supportive.
Obviously, it's not an ideal situation for anyone, but I was pleased with their concern and response.

I am NOT unhappy. I felt bad for you guys to be losing so much action on a big playoff day. I said:
