Mean Joe Greene may be my favorite defensive player of all-time or Jack Lambert...I think Taylor was more dominant individually, and could single handidly change a game on defense, not many defensive players could ever say that.

#70 from the University of West Virginia, played in 8 championship games for the NY Giants and later as a player-coach under Coach Lombardi at Washington for the 'Skins - Sam Huff! None better! Just ask Jim Brown!

Lawrence Taylor changed the game of football and, I believe, was the best defensive player of all time.

Hard to compare different eras, but L.T. has to be the choice. But I wouldn't want him hanging around my family.

Ronnie Lott. Guy cut his finger off so he could play. Knocked Icky so hard all he could do was shuffle. Hardest hitter per pound that may have ever played.

Joe Greene was the man in the middle who started lining up cockeyed right on top of the center, we don't see that anymore.

Remember him punching Paul Howard of Denver in the 1977 playoff game, punched him right in the gut, total cheap shot...

Greene also had a legendary run in with Butkus, not sure how true the story was but Greene got the best of him.
