Blyleven, Rice, Dawson, Sutter, Gossage.

I cannot believe Jim Rice can't get in, this will be Jim Rice's best shot.....

Bruce Sutter appears to have the best shot, last year 66.7 % voted for him , he will need 75% to make it.

Look at the class of 2007 Jman, Ripken needs to get 100% no player has ever done that need to think Gwynn goes in to McGwire could be interesting

Believe it or not Polonia is still playing and playing well, he was MVP of a winter league....certainly in no way shape or form should he even be on that list though.

It sure will be interesting to see what Ripken gets, I doubt he could get 100% and he's certainly not the best player, some argue he wasn't even that good, and was overrated.

I don't think McGwire makes it.

Gwynn ,obviously a lock.

Also would have been interesting had Harold Baines reached 3000 hits (2866) at DH

Baines , nearly 400 homers, and close to 3000 hits and batted .289

If the steroid scandal had not come into play Jman do you think McGuire would not be on the bubble next year when it comes to getting in the hall.

FYI

The last year the Baseball writers need not vote anyone in was 1996

The Veterans Commitee put 4 in that year.

He said the kid lied and said she was 18 ...Polonia wasn't that old at the time..... he had some big pinch hits over the years.....

He woud have gotten in easily....McGwire went from being a .220 -.240 hitter to batting over .300 in those prime steroid years.

Hard to believe some of these players are on the ballot. I also believe there should be home HOF'ers from the list. It appears relief pitchers tend to get overlooked. Remember how dominating Sutter, Lee Smith and Gossage were in their days? They should get some serious consideration.

Dale Murphy sure was a supserstar for a few good years. I would get him in on the VETERANS committee juist because he was a dominant player during those few years and he was a good role model. I have 50 of his 1977 Topps rookie card that I need to gain some value, SO PLEASE vote him in!

Will "the thrill" Clark- On a 3rd or4th ballot, he deserves consideration.

Goose Gossage- Same as above

Don Mattingly- I would potentially make him a first ballot nominee. Without injuries he would have been a shoe in. He sure had great averages for a great team. ANd I have around 200 of his rookie cards that I WISH would go up in value

Dwight Gooden- He will never get in, but SON OF A BITCH!! I have 500 of his 1985 Topps rookie cards and around 100 of his 1985 Donruss rookie cards!

Alan Tammell- No one wants my 35 of his 1978 rookie cards! I really need him to get in and lets give it to him this time!

Mark Whitten- The Astros could use him right now! BUt obviously he will never get in

Why is Mark Whitten even on the ballot?

Four homers in one game and a good throwing arm for a few years........what else?

What keeps Blyleven out??

The guy has a ton of wins, best Curve ball in the games history, and all sorts of Strike outs!

This guy seems like a glaring ommsion to me.

I think Blyleven should be in too.

Mark Whitten (why) , that stood out to me too.

Mattingly, while he was so damn good in his prime, when you look back at his overall numbers , you may be surprised, he really doesn't cut it.

Jack Morris IMO is in the same category as Blyleven...I would give Morris a slight nod over Bert actually, he was about as big a game pitcher as there was and for many years.

Bert Blyleven and Dwight Evans are the two biggest mishaps.......next to Pete Rose.

What a joke the HOF is........they should move it out of Cooperstown.
